How does you game fit the theme?
When you think you're alone in a barren wasteland, you're actually not. You are the cause of your character not being alone while they search for their lost friend. Ghosts will try to keep you from reaching your friend but you have to continue on.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All code and art assets were made by me from scratch. Sound FX and music were licensed under Creative Commons 0 from freesound.org

Nice little game with pretty art. I also used M+K and it worked fine.
Fun, interesting game. I like the visuals. I played with M+K which worked mostly fine (though I couldn't exit options).
The sound of ghosts became a bit too loud when there were multiple of them.
Thanks so much for playing and for the feedback.
Good game, I tried it with a controller and it works perfectly!
Thanks for playing!
Nice game concept
Thanks a bunch!
Cool game, The music and sounds were really good. But unfortunately the controls for mouse + keyboard felt a little bit unresponsive. Basically whenever I went to jump I would have to spam the enter but a few times for it to actually jump. But overall it was a fun game. I would also appreciate it if you could rate my game.
Thanks for giving it a go and for the feedback. The keyboard controls are unfortunately not optimal for gameplay as I would have like. I also believe I need to configure the hit boxes a bit better so that the player actually jumps whenever the remnant is highlighted (even if the cursor isn't directly over it)
the game controls were difficult. The music was good
Thanks for playing! Game controls (especially for keyboard) will be updated once the jam is over.
Wanted to give the game a try - but I don't have a controller. Tried with keyboard but I couldn't find any keymaps explained.
So I unfortunately can't give any feedback to the game (I also haven't give any rating because I think that wouldn't be fair to your game). Therefor just a tip for your next jam: have first-level-support for (mouse+)keyboard for your game.
Thanks for attempting to give it a go. I was saddled with only controller controls after many a failed attempts at adding mouse controls (ran out of time). You can play with keyboard controls (WASD & Enter) but since it's not optimal for playing, I only put the directions for using it on the game's main page. This is one of the first things I'm going to address once the jam is over.
fun! my game

Thanks for playing
Plays nice until ghosts start chasing me at the speed of light!
Had fun though!
Ha ha, Thanks for playing!
Nice audio/visuals, very relaxing! It gets a little difficult with the keyboard, but seems to be designed for a controller.
Thanks so much for playing! Apologies for the keyboard controls. I wanted to have the mouse be used instead of the keyboard but couldn't figure it out in time. But now, I will have time to work on it.
Really interesting! Nice soft ambiance. I like to give little helpful pointers when I can in game jams, not to be harsh or critical, but because it's nice to see some small ways our games can be improved. The only things I really saw in your game were 1) when you give the tip about the key during gameplay (which is AWESOME, thank you - many people don't read the description/settings, etc ;p) it causes the player to take a minute to read it... meanwhile, the ghosts have started to come after you! lol Maybe put that just before the key pickup so we can just focus on hurrying and not reading. 2) the skulls/shadow blobs highlight when we put the crosshair over them, put we still can't click. We can only click when the crosshair is more directly over them. I died a few times clicking when it was highlighted and it didn't move me, then had to move it a little and then click again. If you can change either the highlight or (preferably) make it so you can click whenever it's highlighted, that would really help. Your art is absolutely beautiful. I love the simple background, especially the colors you chose. Great job!!!!
Thanks so much for playing and for the awesome feedback! Couldn't agree more with it and it was those exact things I was working on right until the deadline that I couldn't get right. I do like this concept (more so than my last game) and do foresee myself making this into something a bit more. Rest assured better controls/highlighting is number one on my list.
Great game, really enjoyed playing it. I really liked that there was a story and it was clear and very adorable.
Thanks so much!
Graphics and sounds are pretty good. The gameplay is simple but still fun. Well done !
Thank you!
Great work Rate mine too.
