The random curses is a great idea. Whenever I died, I'd want to play one more round just to see what interesting new curse I was burdened with. The controls feel really good, and the color palette is nice.
Cool game. It was fun and the art was really good. Love the cursor giving you a random curse at the beginning... I think pacifist is my favorite, very clever.
Music would have been nice (I understand why it's not there) and the final boss was pretty easy to beat by just standing in place. I really liked the enemies lunging and needing to recover if they missed you, really nice touch.
Great job!
Neat game. Brings Zelda to mind. Like those random skills/effects at the beginning. Cute pixel graphics and animation. Awesome!
This game is fun. I really like the art and the colors make for a very nice palette. I enjoy the idea of the random curses when you start too. I did feel movement was a bit slow even without the sloth curse, but it actually balances out well with the enemy difficulty so that's ok. Good work.
I really like your sprite art and animations! Very good! I also liked the dark parts with just light around the player. Keep at it! Please check out Puma Cat if you can too.
I liked the concept of having a random effect with every play through. I found the "Confusion" effect very tough. Nice work!
Really liked it, would've been nice if it restarts after you killed the boss (Time constrains I understand ;) ) and some background music would've been nice. overall very good game
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it
It's actually intentional that it doesn't restart, as there's some interactivity after you beat the boss (there is a restart button if you need it). I wanted backgrounds music, but I wanted to make all the assets myself and I'm not good enough at music yet.
haha yeah my music isn't great either, I thought it was good I heard it the next day and thought hmm... This is not great but it's something
I didn't find those interactions, maybe will try later to find them
Very neat concept! Is the game over when you defeat the boss?
Yes, that's the end
Okay, cool. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. Definitely a fun concept! I'll be playing it through several times to see if I can beat it with all the curses. :)
