Great! A bunch of balancing and this will be awesome!

This is a good start for a rouge like game.

The art and sound are really well done. Feedback on getting hit would be nice. Great idea with passing down stats to your next generation.

Great job!

Looks nice and plays well. Good atmosphere and sound. Auto-attack would be nice :)

I found the ZIP file! :D

I played it! It was great!

I wasn't sure if killing things gave you like experience that you level up or something. The general Idea is very cool and you could do a lot with it!

The hitboxes were a bit tricky, if I understood correctly you have to stand next to the monster and hit them. Sometimes it felt a bit unfair to me because I was standing for my idea 'below' a monster (with at least half of the body) and i still got hit. and some feedback when you get hit by a sound would've been nice. But for a game jam this is some gooood stuff! great job!

also the art is amazing!

Love the art style! The idea of passes down genes is also pretty neat! Would love to be able to compare the stats of my new character to the last, it changes so quick I forget what they were before!

I'm a little torn apart by this game. The graphics are top notch, the movement is nice and the interaction with some of the items on the floor are really nice. There is only one issue with the player sprite and the health bar which gets blurry when moving. Everything else is crisp clear. I don't know what is causing this, but that did not affect my score.

What on the other hand affected my score is the complete randomness when going to the next generation. the stat I chose stayed the same, the rest got mixed up way too much. Even in such a way that my character got completely useless.

I'm missing the feeling of progression. I'm also missing some kind of goal for the game... Maybe you could have given it some quests which boosted your stats for the next generation or so.

I'm deeply sorry that I had to cut down on fun factor and balance.. This game could have been so awesome. So, please keep working on this, because I would like to see more of your neat art style and animations.

I hope you have a look at my game too, fellow Unity user ;)

PS: Make the player autoattack when holding mouse button. Clicking all the time is annoying.

Nice!  The art and animation are very polished.  I died a lot though! It was pretty hard to get close enough to hit enemies but also not get hit by them. I love the concept of passing down your best trait to your next character.

Great!!  I really loved the art and animation, super cool!  Your enemies were varied and cool too.  Just a bit of balance tweaking and it will be super awesome.  The controls felt good too!  I want to learn how to make a melee combat system soon!  I've only done shooting so far.  Please check out 'Puma Cat' if you have time~

The game doesn't fit on my screen so can't play it. But I do like your health bar graphics from the video - I have a thing for sweet looking health bars haha.

Very polished and fun game with a cool little story to it. One thing  I would like to note is that I found myself farming the worm guys rather than fighting the bugs, mainly because it was very easy to get hurt in the game with your limited range.  Above all, I had a lot of fun with it and liked the evolution level system!
