Nice art and fun game.

I think it just needs a music and some more sound effects (especially the impact sfx). The camera following the mouse in the main menu was a cool addition too!

(For some reason I was dying out of nowhere, until I found out that I was outside of the drone range... I should probably start reading the tutorials in games lol)

Such beautiful artwork I almost thought this was a triple A game! It was feeling a little empty without any bg music and some sfx for when I complete a wave would be good.  Another thing is if you're using ASD for controls it would have been great if W key was jump because then I don't have to move my fingers as much and it is more natural. I love how fun and beautiful this game is and honestly, this has really inspired me to try unity.  This is seriously underrated for such a great game! Keep doing what you're doing and great work!

thanks I appreciate the review. Unfortunately we kind of ran out of time to make much sound/music, I would’ve liked to add some music to give more atmosphere :/. The w doesn’t jump because i found it conflicting with the dash, but I ran out of time before I could find a better way to bind the controls.

This one was really fun! I typically play the game a few times to get the hang of it and see how I do, but I keep playing. The only downside for me was the lack of sound and music! Great job! Another on of my favorites so far!

glad you enjoyed it!. I would’ve loved to add music, But we ran out of time.

totally understandable, great work anyhow!

Really nice work on the artwork, especially on the background art and enemy designs!

It's pretty fun, I like it, but the lack of music really is unfortunate :(

It would have added so much to the atmosphere.

The main gun sfx lacks impact, it's not that satisfying to shoot because of that.

But, sound design and music aside, it's a neat little experience :)

I appreciate  the review. I do think music and some more sfx would’ve helped flesh out the game, but we didn’t have much time to add much else, especially in sound design.

This took me on a nostalgia trip, the visuals, the sfx, everything took me back to the days were I used to play DOS games, I say that in the most positive light, congratulations! Gameplay wise, the idea is really cool, I wish there was a bit more risk / reward element on the drone safe area, but in the end of the day I had FUN, and this is all that matters. Those dopamine levels went high, good job!

Developer

Thanks for the review. Glad you liked the artwork, I do believe we maybe could’ve added some more risk/reward with being outside the drone even just doing more damage to the player, And maybe even deal less damage to enemies outside it as well, That’s just off the top of my head though.

This is a really cool game! I love the world and gameplay. I think that being outside of the drone's range should drain more health so that being out of the range is more risky as I spent a lot of time outside of the range. Other that that though I think you did a great job!

Developer

thanks for the review. I do agree with you that being outside of the drone might not do enough damage to the player. But I’m glad you still liked it.
