Did you use any third-party assets or skeleton code?
I used cloud texture from texture.com, and majority of my sounds were made with Bfxr software. Music came from Gamecodeur pack. All the rest was create by me :)

I like the "battle in the clouds" environment and all the enemies design, also the great variety of weapons and upgrades. Furthermore, the difficulty curve is perfect (at least for me), which makes the game very enjoyable. Great job! :)

I spent last night of gamejam to balance enemies wave, so I'm happy to read your comment ! Thank you taking your time to play ! :D

Victory!

The game is fun, I like the variety of player's options, and the risk of overheating does make the game more tense.

Thanks for sharing.

It's a pleasure that stress from overheat was liked ! Thanks for your comment ! :)

I like it ! My favorite skills are 3 shot , towers and shots for 2 charges. Good job!

Developer

Thank you :D ! I'm glad that you like tools and especially 3 shots, I like electric shots too !

Ah, nice to see another fellow last stand type game on here. I liked the variety of abilities. The spiral bullet ability didn't seem to work for me(unless I did something wrong), but all the other ones I tried were pretty cool.

I will inpspect to understand how create this bug for me, normally all tools use bar charge ! Thank you for playing and your feedback ! :D

I really liked the steampunky, cloudship setting, and the wave-based gameplay was quite fun! I did have a few pieces of feedback that I think you can easily fix, though. First off, the tool counts didn't decrease as they were used, so it was difficult to tell whether I had any left. There were also some times when they arbitrarily didn't seem to fire. Maybe a cooldown I wasn't aware of? Also, the game starts off pretty slow, so I would recommend increasing both the enemy movement speed as well as the player's bullet speeds. Lastly, while the overheat mechanic is definitely a great limiting factor, it does kind of halt the gameplay, creating times where the player just waits in horror at the approaching enemies with nothing to do. Maybe add some sort of minigame that the player can do to speed up the overheat process so that they aren't just waiting for seconds with nothing to do? Sorry for the wall of text, but there really is a lot of great potential here! Great work!

Thank you for your comment and all yours great ideas ! I didn't think about put a mecanic during overheat because I wanted player manage with their tools at the same time, but it's a cool idea to add gameplay to reduce faster overheat !

I note yours feedbacks down for an updated version of my game, especially for put graphics cool downs more impacting and bug (use tools had to decrease number of bar on the left bottom corner, number in the HUD indicates numbers of charged needed to launch tools) :).

Oo I liked this! Very clean gameplay and I liked having to be careful about when I use my powerups. For feedback I would say it couldve been a little faster paced (i.e. more enemies that move faster but with less health to keep the balance) and maybe give more health

Developer

Thank you for playing ! I'm happy that you are enjoying Last Bastion ! I write your comments for balancing, I hesitated to add more life :)

That's a pretty good one! Love the variety of guns and tools. I really only used the spiral shooter tool tho, so I think most of the other ones are kinda useless, but hey it's awesome they just exist to begin with. I did see myself using all the 3 weapons tho, those all really came in handy for specific situations. Difficulty curve is also surprisingly smooth, I loved how every level had one new enemy type to spice things up.

It doesn't really feel like a bullet hell tho, to be really honest? x)
I mean, it really is more of a tower defense than anything I have to say, so in my opinion maybe you took the theme a little too seriously x3

First of all, Thank you I was not sure if players can finish the game without shield or tryhard so it's reassuring to read you. And the last night to balance difficulty was rewarded :').

I wanted to change bullet to other things, maybe I changed too much ? Be that as it may, thank you taking your time to play and to give me your feedback !

Yo this was cool. Gets pretty chaotic fast. I think it would really benefit from a web build. When I first started game jams no one would play my games because I would make them download only. A lot of people are scared to or just don't want to download games. Think you would really benefit from this. Aside from that its cool. I think the gun could overheat a bit faster as I found myself never really thinking about the overheating mechanic.

Developer

Thank you for your comment and your advice. I wanted to publish WebGL version too but I don't have time left to do it unfortunatly. I don't think we can put an update version of build during vote time, so I will do that after ! For overheat, I don't know if the game was too hard or not so thank you for your feedback ! :)
