Turning back time is a really original mechanic that goes so well with the game. The visual style is also stunning!
Incredible presentation and themes, took me a while to realize how to use the rewind, but it was really cool to use. A shame the latter bosses don't work, though the first one as well has an issue where if you just stay still slight to the right, you can hit the boss and never be hit. I will remember to come back after the jam to see game functioning well, good luck!
Thank you for the kind words!! Yeah, we definitely ran into too many issues as we neared the end there, but we've been hard at work polishing up the rest of the game so we can release the completed version shortly after the jam is done! Please look forward to it!!
Also thanks for letting me know about that issue with the first boss. That whole section is meant to be only one of its attack patterns, but I'll sort it out!
It's been a while, but we finally gave the game the hefty overhaul it needed in case you wanna check it out!
The catbot is kawaii
i think it glitched for me because after the first boss the only attack that played was the big circle that requires the rewind thing
We ran into a couple of issues the hours before the jam ended so we had to ship out the game unfinished. But we are working on implementing all that was missing, so after the jam is done we will put out the updated version in all of its splendor!
I really liked this one, and not just because I love CHEESE. It was refreshing to play an entry with actual schmup sensibilities like a slow-down button and hitbox that isn't just the size of the player's sprite/ model. I thought that the rewind mechanic was fun too. I appreciated the ring that would force you to utilize the rewind so that the gameplay necessitated the mechanic and felt like the game was designed with the mechanic in mind instead of being a generic schmup with a fun gimmick slapped on top.
