Good job! A very complete game with different locations and moods. We can immediately see the connections between the different quests, so, we're not completely lost. The UI is also pretty clear. The feeling of unlimited possibilities when you get your first sword and you find out you can cut through bushes is very rewarding, a classical but solid mechanic in top-down action RPG games.
Could largely improve visual feedbacks when performing actions (hitting enemies, picking up things...) though.
I played for 25 minutes but I didn't get far enough to see the connection with the game jam theme. Will you post a solution?
Thank you for playing and your feedback. We're happy you had that same feeling of the world opening up when you first get the sword. As for the theme, it's a subtle connection. Many of the NPCs tell you lies and half truths. Even some of the game mechanics themselves are lying to you. We may make a video walkthrough at some point but we want people to experience it for themselves, if possible.
There's a lot of stuff in this game for a game jam so good job. I unfortunately wasnt able to find the third key and just gave up. Good job though! Im guessing the ending has to do with the theme because right now it doesnt fit it at all...
you really put a lot of content into this game. congrats on that!
there are stuff to improve but you can't do them all in a week all by yourself so you have chosen the content and i believe it is good.
What a large world! I didn't have time to finish the whole playthrough, but the amount of work that you put into this game really REALLY shows. Congrats on your entry!
Some critical feedback:
- Full-screen option would be good for immersion
- Work on your font choices and cohesion (e.g. your logo and in-game art is pixel art, but your font looks like a very crisp sans-serif.
- Music crossfading would be good throughout the game -- from menu-to-game and from one sound zone to another. Your music was absolutely fantastic, and adding some cross-fading will allow it to draw players further into your crafted world.
- Control onboarding would be good, but this is fine for a game jam where people expect WSAD. I like that the player started in a bare room where they could figure this out by trial-and-error.
- Art style looks nice -- would perhaps add shadows below the characters.
- Work on your UI placement. You need a larger uniform boundary from the endges of the screen to have better visual harmony
- Make characters stop moving when you talk to them
Overall, I loved the experience of playing this game. Cute art and funny sound effects (PERFECT voice acting. Laughed out loud some times). Great sword animation. Reminds me of GBC Zelda games. Funny bits you put in (Lora Craft).
Congrats on your entry!

Really great game! The world is immensive for a game jam game, and pretty immersive too. The soundtrack was great too! Good job!
Really interesting world with lots of characters and everywhere I went was different. Very cool experience and music as well. The tiles were clipping a little at the border but other than that it was fine <3
Great job. You'd made a lots of contents during 7 days.
If you have time, please play my game and leave me some comments!
Really good game! Liked how the music changes on where you are. Good job!
