Hard to fit the theme more than this!

We think that the game would benefit from upping the pace by a fair margin, to match how fast the enemies will hit you.

The juke box is a nice touch, sounds pretty good.

The art style isn't for everyone, but we do appreciate well done minimalism, so you get a high score from us there.

Nice entry, hugs!

I thought this game was a lot of fun!! It's pretty interesting in concept and I think you executed it pretty well actually. While there's a level of difficulty to avoiding walls, monsters, etc. it's generally avoidable as long as you flicker your flashlight and the fun part also comes with memorizing where it is you come from and where you have to go. This is a really great way to utilize light as a mechanic, so bravo!
I like games with this sort of minimalism too, and it feels very simple and clean. I think the gameplay itself is well polished in appearance, though I wonder if there could have been more interest or complexity through things like shadows being a different value from backgrounds, different enemy shapes, etc. The long drawn shadows stretching to the borders is a great touch tho, makes enemies feel large and threatening just based on how large the shadows are. I also liked the sound design; the music is nice and the light sound feels like I'm letting electricity or something pass through lol

all in all, great game! I had fun playing it :) I think if you could fix some balance issues with things like monsters that swarm and move when the light isn't on (mostly that) it would easily be a top playable game, similar to titles I like such as Cats are Liquid or Hue.

The game itself has a nice idea behind it but it just isn't executed very well. First of all I find the game to be pretty unfair as sometimes you can just walk into the creatures and can't even turn on the light for one second without being hit. The music is pretty nice but the light on/off sounds are pretty annoying. I mean the graphics are basically non-existent from what I could tell, there were only a few black squares or other shapes and a white orb. And the entire darkness maze idea sucks when you try to play it since you can only feel your way around it, without being attacked.

the darkness won. this game looks and sounds so good. i love the sensation of slowing down when you turn on the light, it has such a satisfying gradual motion to it. nice one
