Good atmosphere and Art design. i liked the sound part too. the in game oxygen tank UI was good.

Gameplay i was not able to do enjoy properly due to laptop mousepad and controlling it being very difficult with it.
Any plan to update it/polish it ahead? I did like the subnautica vibe that makes me want to play more polished version of it in future.

We thought it'd be really cool and immersive and stuff if you could control the game using only your mouse. We accounted for people without a pressable scroll wheel but didn't think anyone would partake in a game jam using only a trackpad so that's on us.

As for continued work on the project I don't think any of us are really interested in that so it is very unlikely to happen. Maybe some day when I'm bored I'll add in keyboard support but it's not really on my list of priorities as there's a lot of work coming up for me.

Omg this games graphics so cool ,It reminds me of subnatica if it was 2D xD I can't add more then the previous comments so i will just say you did a rly good job with the atmosphere and environment :D

This game's overall feel was BEAUTIFUL, the atmosphere and environment were perfect, and the game did get easy once u understood the monster and how it worked. The art is great and the sounds are perfect—literally an amazing submission. I loved the story, I'm just sad I couldn't get revenge on the evil researcher.

Damn, folks. 10 out 10 in atmosphere.

The sounds, the tale and the mechanics do a lot to pull you into the tension the protagonist should be going through.

Nice work with the checkpoint system, by the way. Makes the experience a lot more enjoyable.

We sadly got softlocked with the monster being right in front of the spawn point and the checkpoint played against us right there, but, given the scope of the work and the timeframe of the jam, I still think you deserve high praise!

That being said, tone up the brightness of the compass. I have old man eyes T_T.

As for the part with the softlock I assume it happened right after retrieving the crystal, right? I thought all checkpoints were far enough away from Otto's pathing area but I completely forgot about that one, sorry.

Holy the atmosphere is amazing! Very creepy.. Sometimes it was a bit hard to see what was ground or not and I ran into future collectibles early on which was kind of confusing, but I still enjoyed playing the game. Again, great job with the atmosphere and the story. Really cool! :D

i really like the creepy aesthetic of the game. While I get the point of the game is to navigate and explore the area, it was a bit disorienting with such little direction, and I ran into objects i couldnt interact with. I know its unrealistic for a game jam, but if you come back to the game maybe having something like a minimap that updates as you explore could be useful. Aside from that, I enjoyed the game :D

I'm aware that the compass ignores walls and can sometimes appear behind decorative props but it does always point you in the exact direction you need to go, unless you're right next to your target object. I thought that would be enough but I guess navigating a dark environment is much more difficult when you haven't been staring at it lit up for 3 days straight.

Runnning into dead interactables is a problem we were aware of during development but couldn't have easily fixed aside from only enabling them when they're relavant, which I figured would also leave people feeling cheated. Well that or a system that just checks right after you turn something in but then you'd potentially have to sit through all of the dialogue in one sequence, which would also not be ideal.
