How does your game follow the theme?
The main game mechanic revolves around managing the use of a lantern. Only the light can guide you through the hallowed woods.

I love the idea ,the game was a bit slow.. VERY slow ,but I played what i could ,good job in the cutscenes :D

Thank you for taking the time!

And yeah, the projected run lasts 5 minutes, which in hindsight is too long for a jam. We've learned a lot about managing that from the rest of you good lads and lasses.

Hugs and thank you!

Good use of the theme and rly good art. It was slow and unfairly punishing since I had to go through the whole cutscene on restarting.

Good job on the game!

You got a laugh out of me. Thank you for that. Believe us, we're very aware. That villain like monologue at the start really gets to you after a while.

And also thank you for playing!

The story and atmosphere are really nice, but its very unforgiving. The art is amazing and the sounds very fitting. Maybe give the player an indicator of the distance and make dying less punishing. Still a really cool game! :)

Haha! Thank you kindly. If it makes you feel better, I died three times while testing the finished game and we made the damn thing. Happy you liked it!

Gameplay is really slow and  punishing since you have to go through the entire opening monologue again after dying. The light feels nice to use but it is sometimes difficult to see when the white creatures are truly dead. Resource management is kind of hard since you don't know how much you still have ahead of you. The pixel art is great, though I think that you should make the light more pixelated. And maybe use a different font, this one clashes with the rest of the art style. The character also looks a bit blurry, probably wrong texture filter. The dying screeches of the creatures and music are great and atmospheric.

Thanks for the feedback! Very much appreciated and we'll be sure to keep it in mind. Quite happy it left an impression. Salute!
