Difficult game it was for me. only able to clear one level out of 10-20 tries.
however i did enjoyed and liked the idea of the game which made me kept retry. i figured i would need to spend more time in learning more about it with proper focus to beat it and enjoy.
Music also helped me kept retrying.
Art style was good too
I really liked the music
This game's very interesting visually, though it is very confusing. A tutorial would've definitely been a big help. Definitely one of the more unique games in this jam.
I love puzzle games! Once I figured this one out, it was definitely a great experience. I think 25 levels would really be a fun challenge to try and achieve, and the powerup mechanic is cool too.
However, I do find some issue with the lack of explanation in terms of things like what each barrier or tile does, how to pick up gears, etc. IT would definitely be a major help if you included somewhere in the game page an explanation of or introduction to some of the commonly seen blocks across the map.
Additionally, especially in some screens more than others, there is just way too much visual information (i.e. the screen with like 12 pixelated computers and a power up thing) and it makes it hard to look at and hard to understand. Toning down some colors, contrast, or generally making backgrounds less confusing is a great way to fix this issue.
I had a lot of fun playing this and I'd love to see it a little more fleshed out! It's also interesting visually and I love the crunchy feel it has :) Good job and good luck!
Definitely needs a bit more player information. I found a super cooling looking box, so I went to touch it and it killed me ;-;
Also I managed to soft lock myself, I didn't click to assign upgrades to specific bullets in the shop, just exited, the 3 circles to choose which bullets remained, which didn't let me progress at the end of the level.
Interesting concept!
I like the art a lot maybe explain it a little more. And im a fan of puzzle games.😎
cool game 5/10
