i liked the large bed in the room, and cute overall design and interesting gameplay to keep the teddies away with light
Good game. Played it till the end. Like the transition from dark to light! Like the story and a conception of the game : with girl and her toys as enemies, really cute. I deffenetelly didn't expect to see bears as main enemies! :DD
As a gameplay engineer I would advice to think of rewriting AI algo or change invironment a bit: bc right now AI could collide with boxes and can be stacked there forever. I understood that it is only a jam (and only one weak!), but maybe for the future is good to add more enemies with different behavior (more toys!)
All in all, I personally think you did a good job!
This game is really cute!! I recognized Maxenne's work immediately haha
The premise is really fun, and i love the idea that the little girl is being chased not by actual monsters but by her fear of her stuffed animals in the dark. Also, the cover art is really pretty and got me interested right away! You all did a great job bringing this simple game together.
if I had any commentary on anything, it'd be that personally I felt the game was a little too easy. Most of the nightlights were in the first box next to the door, so it kind of turned into a "how fast do i need to go to outrun the stuffed animals" simulator where I just hugged the walls until i found an outlet. Also, I don't know if I'm just blind but the outlets were a little small and hard to see and I couldn't find a full screen button which made it harder to play.
Other than that, some polish like room transition sounds and visuals and extra juice here and there would really bring this game to a wow moment! I hope yall continue to work with this cause it's a cute little game and I'd love to see it evolve over time.
also idk if this needs to be said but if your stuffed animals are moving towards you at mach 5 in the middle of the night but stopping in place when you look at them you should probably call a priest bc that's demons
Very creative aproach and interesting mechanics, I enjoyed it.
The game is pretty to look at but I agree with others, a lil more polish would go a long way.
Pretty game :D
Adorable art and game theme. The shadow work is a little wonky, and the way the light follows the mouse is a little bit weird, I am sure it could be fixed with polishing. This game is cool and has amazing use of the theme.
A random cool idea I had, would be to play random scary noises :0, that would add to the whole effect of walking through the dark to get a snack. Kinda like a floorboard creaking.
Good Job!!
Cute.
I agree with the others, it could use a bit more polish, but I imagine time was short. Even so, the game is very cute and promising.
Congratulations on the game!
This game was so original 0-0 And sooooo accurate of what I thought the dark was at night xD and the art is SOO CUTE ,like so ADOWABLE xD I feel like you could've added more content and level (in the future maybe) ,You can rly expand on this Idea, i loved how the light bounced away from the walls ,but its a bit wierd and caught me out of guard the first time ,and the ghosts/bears gave me a heart attack 0-0 The ghosts would actually get stuck in the tabels or any colliders ,But its out of ur hands bc the only way is to add a path finding which is veryyy hard :( Anyway Gj Bro :D
Yea, this was bigger than what we could polish properly in the time, I'm still pleased with it though. I did choose to make sure the vibes were right over pathfinding.
The art and music is amazing, game is really creative!!! I like the idea of having to scavenge for a nightlight while trying to keep the monsters away, although if you center the flashlight on yourself you become immortal. There's also some collision issues with walking against obstacles (especially the bed in the beginning room). Overall I really really like it :) :)
Yea, you likely can softlock yourself in a few places too lol. The scope was too big to truly polish it, but I'm pleased with where it's at.
