i like it, even tho it was smaller and shorter it felt polished and spooky

Developer

Thank you very much for the feedback, it's great to know that you liked the game :)

are you trying to scare your players , if they dont drink coffee they'll sleep forever ?

Developer

The intention to scare was conveyed through the hallucinations, unfortunately, I couldn't work on them as much as I wanted and they ended up being quite quick and maybe even confusing. The coffee to keep us awake was more of a move to create pressure and desperation for the player while trying to get rid of the hallucinations.

I loved the assets and the story. And the small bear STRESSED me out, hahaha! The game seems that abruptly ended when triggering the conversation after getting all the coffee from the houses, but I liked it a lot, congrats for the great game you’ve done! :)

I'm really glad you liked it, unfortunately, the ending had to be improvised hastily as time was running out, it wasn't supposed to be like that actually. But if I update the game in the future, I plan to add the mechanics from the original idea and a worthy ending for it all :)

Interesting ideas and a unique take on the two themes. This was very atmospheric, the house with all of the mannequins that lit up was especially creepy. There are a few areas where I think you can polish, though. The intro text at the beginning is a bit overlong, maybe you can break that up into a few different story sections, otherwise you might lose the audience before they even start the gameplay. Also, I think some visual cues and affordances to indicate where the player should go and what they should do next would be very helpful. Overall, this is a really great start and I'd love to see how it turns out when it is expanded upon. Great work!

I am extremely grateful for the tips and overall feedback, it will help me a lot. Unfortunately, I couldn't include certain aspects due to lack of time, as I decided to focus more on the art and programming was left for the last two days, along with some moments of procrastination. I genuinely have a fondness for this project, as its story goes beyond what was shown, in terms of mechanics as well, as originally there would be various puzzles that would follow the logic and narrative of the game. If I have enough enthusiasm to finish it one day, I intend to expand the story, mechanics, scenarios, and everything else much further. Again, thank you wholeheartedly for the feedback!

Really like finding out the different mechanics for each building - the writing was really well done to hint but not give too much away.

I am delighted that you enjoyed the game, especially the writing. Your game is fantastic in terms of narrative, and I am truly honored by your praise.

The atmosphere was scary and the story gave me a great excuse for drinking coffee. I especially liked the hallucination with the bodies/headache. It was really interesting to figure out how that works.

Developer

I am extremely happy to hear that you enjoyed the game and were able to progress so far. I was worried that it didn't have much explanation. The original story of the game is much "deeper," but I had to cut out a large portion, along with the mechanics, due to the time constraints I had for programming. I tried to focus on a darker art style (my first time attempting that), so it consumed a lot of time. The deaths of the hallucinations were meant to be explicit, but then I remembered that violent content is not allowed :(. Let's say this is a prototype and the original idea would have been much more detailed, with the inclusion of puzzles as well. I hope to muster the enthusiasm to make a complete version in the future.
