Double-Fist-Jump-Punches never gets old. Can't wait to see this get developed further!! Brilliant demonstration of 3D in Construct 3.

Developer

Probably could of just not done guns at this point haha.

Thank you for playing my game!

Due to the limitations of construct 3, I even liked it, I loved the game, but you can rush the game just by going up, you don't have to keep looking for boxes and killing enemies hahaha

Developer (1 edit)

For the speedrunners hehe. But is more fun to fight :D

Thank you for playing!

Amazing!
Great result for a game jam game.

I had the problem too to toggle full screen, so I run it in window, but couldn't see well where I was aiming.
In the end, even if I tried hard with the gun, I found too that the best weapon is the punch, or better jump and land with double punch on the enemy for instant kill!

Nice glass effect for the swinging door at the entrance, nice building fading to the infinite and nice street where you come from. I tried to go there, but I couldn't, it was really inviting to see how it was made.

Escalator effect is super well done, and aside a few glitches, the game ran very smoothly.

Definitely a game that can prove that Construct can make fun old-style 3d games!

Great accomplishment!

Thank you for playing and noticing all the little details I added in :D

Thanks to you, it was nice to see a 3d game made in Construct that remind me Doom days!
I'm glad you left out the motion sickness effect! :-D

fun :)!!

the music made me feel like im walking into the office to beat my boss up and quit with a smile on my face lol! liked jumping around and double punching. some feedback if you want to continue

  • theres nothing stopping me from just running up the stairs
  • wish there was more feedback when punching the enemies, color flashes, effects etc
  • the crosshair blends in with the enviroments
Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! And thank you for playing my game! :D

The punching is a lot of fun—especially with a controller. Consider leaning into speed running as the core game loop.

Developer

Thank you for playing! Yea I did feel the speed running vibe, is why I didn't limit being able to move on to the next floor 😁

my favorite part about this was the dodging bullets and jump punching. and how far they flew back when you landed was awesome!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you! Yea the exaggerated knockback just felt too right to take away hehe <3

Unfortunately the fullscreen key doesn’t exist as a stand alone key on my German keyboard. You can activate a fullscreen button for browser games in the itch backend, I don’t think it would be against the rules to still activate that.

Anyways… Really cool what you achieved with the limited 3D capabilities of C3, I especially liked the effect of the glass that became more opaque the more you looked at it from an angle. I don’t know if it was intentionally or not, but the thing I liked the most about the game is how OP pacifist runs are :D Not only conceptually as some fun contrast of expectations, but it is simply really fun to play it that way too. You gotta speed through the level always moving to not get shot, strafe jumping through the air :D Great entry.

Despite it being undesirable to skip the enemies, I love watching speedruns and wanted to give the choice to fight. I feel the formation of the enemies being more spread could help prevent darting for the exits hehe.

Yes i added loads of little effects like glass going more opaque, the build outside blending to the sky to look infinitely high, glow effects on certain bits. Even all the little shadows around the objects outside just gave it little touches, but I think you were the first to notice the glass opacity hehe.

Thanks for playing my game and hopefully I can improve and build on it in the future :D

great to show what can be done with Construct in 3D. I am not a fan of FPS games (I am old lol), but it was fun. There were too many controls for me, but again, that’s because I am old.

Developer(+1)

Yea I couldn't think of anything creative and FPS games are generally quite simple to make (considering the time restraints from the jam and doing 3d) thank you for giving the game a go! :D

Hail to the king, baby 😎

Great start, amazing to see this done with Construct! Needs a bit more polish on physics and weapons, but as a boomer shooter from a 2D-focused tool, it's impressive work for a jam!

Developer

Thank you! The jam gave a good positive influence for me to throw something like this together, but I think it has good potential if refined as a comedy fast paced shooter :D

Escalatoooooooors!

Developer (1 edit)

Seems everyone prefers the fists over the guns hahaha. But I got most stuff working! Look forward to adding further functions and features in the future :D

crazy that this was made this construct - bravo!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the kind  words! Managed to do so with no addons, plugins or js, just pure events <3

Was really fun to bunny hop strafe and punch dudes across the room. I feel playing with gore on is a must and fists are more fun than the other weapons to me. But it wasn't clear why I shouldn't just skip all the enemies, maybe closing the floor until all enemies are killed could solve this.

Submitted

agreed with the floor skipping

Developer (1 edit)

Yea I will likely develop this further as it is screaming for online multiplayer, more enemy types e.t.c. forced enemy killing had the issue of relying on your fists to beat 50 enemies down on the higher floors if you ran out of ammo. (would have to figure a good balance in the future). Thanks for the positive feedback <3
