Had some great fun here, but I share other's worries about hide and seek just being too challenging. I think it was due to being too ambitious about the size of the station. Perhaps having more distinct locations would make it easier to navigate too? Regardless, I loved the grim feeling of knowing I was wrong, but roleplaying being possessed by whatever that was. You succeeded in making some true cosmic horror. I enjoyed it, and I appreciate your work. Truly, thank you.
Thanks for playing! And for the suggestions also :)
Really solid concept. Some frustration came up from the level design, hide and seek, and lack of freedom to, y'know, not murder my five closest comrades.
Of all the areas to improve - as a shooter, as a game of hide and seek, as science fiction - I would like to see more lore. The orb, the station, and the crewmates all felt flat. It's fully playable in 30 min or less as you learn the station. That is, admittedly, probably too long for the amount of real content.
But, good work putting all this together in one week, it is a compelling experience. No glitches, fast and nostalgic movement, cosmic horror. Glory to mankind.
Thank you for playing, and thank you for the feedback!
Nice game, sadly I got a bit stuck when it came to the termination section of the game. Those crewmates would be hide and seek champions.
Thanks for playing! Sad to hear you got stuck - I feared that would happen for some and I planned to have some kind of scanner system, but I was a bit over-scoped as is 😄
The visuals are awesome and the ambiance in the dark spacestation is phenomenal. The atmosphere was really tense and scary until I realized I wasn't in any danger. I think it would have kept the tension going throughout the whole game if the crewmates tried to ambush and attack the player before running away. Would have liked to select dialogue options with the mouse, but that's a minor nitpick. The gameplay was very engaging and I liked the weapon recharge system. A fantastic entry for the jam!
I'm glad you enjoyed, and thank you for the feedback!
Nice game friend, it reminded me of the PS1 era, I'm scared and your game reminded me of that lol
This is a crazy amount of content for a jam game. Well done! Loved the aesthetics as well.
I'm glad you enjoyed! Yeah, I over-scoped a little bit but managed to pull it together 😄
That was a cool game. I love the retro PSX graphics and the ambiance. Reminded me of the first half life game.
Only thing is maybe a mini map or something would help to navigate the station. It is very dark and confusing.
But other ways great game!
Thanks for playing! I agree - in hindsight a mini-map would have been an excellent addition. Glad you enjoyed!
This was so cool!. It love the aesthetic of the game, its so creepy and defiantly captures that cosmic dread feeling. The story as well is short but very disturbing which I love. If I one issue is that it's a bit hard to navigate around the station, but that might just be me being silly.
Thanks for playing! And I don't think you're being silly, the station is certainly a bit of a maze 😄
Oh and I'd appreciate a rating if you're all done with the game!
Already have!
Love this game! Superb visuals and audio, and the story is nice & lovecraftian
ALERT: Epic game dev makes epic game!
