This is insane. So much depth and so much complexity all packed into one screen! Each move I make makes me feel so tense. It makes you wonder if someone will have to be sacrificed, or if they can all survive. Having to talk to each person on the map before a move makes it even more tense. It puts so much stress on the player to make sure not a single move is wasted. So freakin' cool.

Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed the game :)

Awesome game! I love the art style and the general vibe the game gives. Like others have said, the game loop is fun and I like the dialogues with the characters. Both informative and interesting. The only the I didn't understand was the whole breaker thing and I pretty much ignored it, although I probably would've gotten it with more play throughs and experimentation. Like you and others have said, a tutorial would be great. Great job!

Developer

thanks for playing the game.

The breaker thing is to lock doors and protect the crew members and yourself.

So the green breaker locks all the green rooms, the orange one locks the orange rooms etc…

But yea I agree it could be explained better in the game

Very interesting game. It was a little incomprehensible at first but it definitely sank in after a couple turns. By the end it was a pretty nice game loop. Well done!

Developer

Thanks. Yea if I had more time I would have made a better tutorial to explain the mechanics more clearly

Oh just to be clear, I actually don't think it was that bad. Like I said it seemed a little intimidating at first - the only hump was trying to remember the key words - but you actually did a really good job of communicating what was going on during the gameplay. After a couple rounds I pretty much knew what the deal was.

This was a lot of fun. I liked the turn order of thinking where to go, then getting a pause for the story from each character. It created a nice flow.  It reminded me a lot of the movie Alien. Excellent job.

Fun game. I made a map and stuck pins in it to track the monsters. Couldn't quite figure out their behavior, but they seemed to lose interest in me when I jogged to the west before heading to the exit room. Great atmosphere and UI. I would have appreciated the ability to speed through some of the exposition on repeat playthroughs. Great work!

Developer(+1)

thanks. The behavior of the monsters is random.
If the player or a crew member is not next to them on their turn they will just go to a random room next to where they are.

glad you enjoyed the game :)

Got it. Thanks for sharing.

Is this your first game jam?

Developer(+1)

yes it is

Congratulations! As a first entry it's superb. I commend you for finishing a full story, gameplay loop (with multiple endings!), and UI/menu system. Keep up the good work.

Really neat! I love the style of this game, and the mechanics are pretty interesting! I like the simplicity of it, was fun to replay a few times.

I honestly enjoyed this a lot. I love the main mechanics and the hint system, even if it took me a moment for it to click (rip Ivan). The art style is also very nice and fitting :D Stellar game hehe

Really cool, love the art style. I like how it kinda works like a horror puzzle. (allowing to skip the intro would be nice tho).

Very cool game, but it was a bit confusing to understand what to do. The visual style is nice and i like the overall idea of the game. Some suggestions would be to make the intro skippable when you restart (if there is a way to skip i didnt see it). and to make the game playable in the web browser as it makes people more inclined to play your game if they dont need to download any files. overall though well done on this keep it up!
