I quite enjoyed it, the logo is very funny and creative. Though it grossed out one of my friend haha. I do agree with some people that there should be some sort of indication to if you got something from the truck. It's very good for a jam game, you did a great job as some one who is working solo (I believe). Great stuff! - Mato

nice and cozy, I like it

It's a fine waiter simulator, but it has some bugs and it takes a little time, to understand what to do. Overall it's a pretty nice game, i like it.

Pretty cool game, the graphics look great and the game is very simple to understand and get used to, but I would change some things:

  • If you can make so the costumers that are walking can't collided with the player, or that they avoid the player, it can get difficult to navigate, especially on late game when you have all the tables and lots of costumers
  • Please if you can make the waiters target the costumer with the least time left, or make the player able to sprint to quickly deal with those customers
  • I also suggest make an indicator for food on your plate, it is hard to remember if you have food

Overall a good game (also the music is great)

A pretty chill game! The UI looks pretty good and the game has a pretty simple concept. I would like to add some suggestions too:

  • One thing I would suggest adding is an indicator that tells you that you actually got something from the truck. I sometimes went in a race against time trying to go back and forth from the truck to a table  only to come to back to a customer empty-handed. Perhaps adding a small object placed over the waiter's plate could be a good way to tell if you got something out of the truck
  • Perhaps when starting, I think the first table should be a bit more closer to the truck as it seems to be one of the tables that I began to pay less attention to over time, perhaps a way to have  the tables be well spread out is by having the truck be at the center of the map and have the tables surround it to allow the player to pay more attention to every table.

Cool 3D! The van itself is the cutest. The gameplay is comforting but a bit too simple (though I completely understand, we had two weeks). It would be nice to have some motivation to not miss some of the cliens. Maybe a rating system or something!

Good job anyways ^^

Thanks for the feedback!

We'll work on the motivation system so keep an eye up on this project because i think you're gonna like it! hahaha

This was quite a mixed bag. I admire how you all worked together. That's not something casual and requires good planning and communication, so well done!
I like coffee shop simulators and they're a good fit for a cozy autumn. The environment is pretty decent as well.

What I think doesn't fit so well are the among-us-like characters. I know humans are hard to model. But animals can be easier! For example, walking cats. But it's okay, for a game jam capsules are sufficient.

Then... the gameplay. I feel like it's not very inspired, it feels a lot like a Roblox game (without the microtransactions). Which isn't bad per se, but more creativity and thinking outside the box is always great. You don't have to reinvent the wheel and create an entirely new genre, you can begin by adding small tweaks to the gameplay that differentiate it from other games (maybe something fall related).

And the balance needs to be a bit better. When you don't have a waiter you will miss lots of customers no matter how fast you are. But when you have one then it's pretty easy.

But, I admit, many of these things are maybe not something for a game jam. I don't know how little time you had, as you said, maybe it really wasn't a lot. The friend that I worked on my project with often told me that I had too high expectations for a game in a game jam, even our own project, so don't think that I'm being rude haha, I'm trying to give feedback so y'all can improve! :)

Keep at it! I think you can definitely make this game better and more fun by working on it further after the jam :)

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback!

I agree with you, we could be more creative on the gameplay side and i think that with more time to work on it we could make something really better. By now, the only feature that diferenciates the game from a normal tycoon is that the player is also a character inside the gameplay (at least when you dont have sufficient waiters to work for you haha). About your "high expectations for a game jam", yup, its always hard to do everything we plan for a jam because normally people like me and you think in a lot of stuff which makes the game a lot bigger than it should be for a jam, said that, the characters actually would be animals and the waiters and player would be dogs (thats why "Coffee Dog"), but we had not enough time to model and animate them.

I completely understand what you mean, and i'm really happy that someone played it with this critic mind. I already worked on a game with more than 50 milion players so i'm very used to critics, even the "no constructive ones".

I liked the game and really enjoyed playing it! The visual part is awesome: I liked the color palette that you’ve used and all those low-poly models are so pretty. And I was actually chilling through all the game process, it is rather meditative

Developer

Wow, i'll show it for all my team! Thank you so much for the feedback, we plan to keep working on this game!

Really clean aesthetic, kinda theraputic gameplay, I think if there were more caveats (some kind of variations on collecting the food maybe, or having to bring milk and sugar to certain tables??) it'd go a long way but yeah super relaxing!

It's an awesome game!

It looks really nice and playing it was super relaxing. One thing I feel might be missing are audio cues when you pick up and hand off orders.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much!

Actually we tried to do more than we could handle and some of those feedbacks are missing. We pretend to at least finish this project hahaha!

No idea what the controls are. It felt like space did some thing, I know clicking buys. Felt lost, also got stuck in the table I bought for $20 and had to end the game. Got a list of controls?

They were on the menu screen

Developer

Sorry for that, thank you for playing.
We'll work on it, by the way if you wanna have a second try the controls are: WASD for movement, Move close to the truck to get the food and space to deliver to the closest client.

I dunno how I missed them, must have been too qick to want to play it and never looked to the right. Played it again and stayed away from the tables when buying. Pretty fun, reminds me of a more relaxed plateup!

I'm guessing you will have models done in the future for the people etc? I can see it selling quite well if you plan on selling it :).

Developer

Yup, we plan to keep working on it!
Thank you so much for playing and if possible, could you help us to make more people pay it?

I dont know but the guys of the jam are not playing our game LOL :(

It is still early in the ratings, got till Friday for people to play. I've been playing people's games, got through about 20 today, leaving ratings on each, we should get around to by most before Friday, at least I hope so, I had 2 ratings myself so far.
