Unclarity of rules: It was a simple interactive novel so there wasn't much to figure... Except of that controls I didn't see because of their color.
Visual ugliness: Oh my gosh, my eyes. They literally hurt while playing. Also the arrows color was not visible on my screen, but was visible on the other one, very nice. Bonus points for that ugly game page.
Audio mismatch: "Sound effect" was great, too bad that you didn't add some sort of background music as well.
Unplayability: Game was so bad it was good, I had a good laugh especially while reading that commented sections. I don't know if the java bug (while clicking "pull out") was intentional (tried on few browsers, still there), if no I NEED TO KNOW WHAT WAS THERE >:c If yes - that's good because of the ruined ending.
Misinterpretation of the topic: I think that game kinda fit into theme?
Overall irritation/disappointment/cringe: Overall - very crappy, well done! Not frustrating to play, but crappy anyway.
I hope you had fun and will join future CrapJams as well <3
I would've added more background noise, but frankly, I don't know how to... Yet.
I'm glad the colors hurt you as much as they did me! I spent some time coming up with the most painful combinations I could without making it completely unreadable.
The Java bug was intentional, I actually had to fudge the error a bit to have it say "Action is not defined," and there's nothing beyond that.
Overall, I had a lot of fun making it, and I'm glad you liked it... and I hope to improve- or rather, make things even worse- in the next jam!
That cover image really captures the spirit of the game and helps to set the mood. The color palette is really exquisite. Leaving the developer comments stuck in the middle of the content - top notch move. Game page matches the game perfectly! I wish you finished it though because that error in spider cave left me a little bit disappointed (in a bad way in this case).
Hope you had as much fun and laughter making it as we (Xiclu and me) had playing it. Thanks!
I certainly did enjoy making it, even if it made me hate myself a little bit! Perhaps I went a bit too far with the error- I suppose there's always next time to make changes, though!
