THE RATS- THEY MULTIPLY!!!! the game kept pulling out new things even when i thought it was over, felt like a plot twist after plot twist!
what a fun game!!!! had an absolute blast playing through it, from the laser beams to the mutating rats to the inevitable hordes that takes over all life... really loved the mouse trap on wheels!
WOWW. Nice!
The main mechanic is really cool, and every time I thought I saw everything the game had to offer, it hit me with another weird mechanic. Really takes advantage of the different things one can do with a mouse. The enemies that dodge out of your way at the last moment are kind of genius LOL. I got up to the huge ugly mutant ones and the screen went all green before I died. Still, everything I played up until that point was awesome. This game rules. Good job!
I really like how you made a tutorial inside of menu. Animation is super, nice pixel art, good level progression. Mechanic expands nice! It was really enjoyable
Good little game and audio was put together well. I like the menu items being activated by the rat trap. That was a cool touch.
Thanks! I was pretty proud of the title screen for as rushed as it was. I thought it was a good way of making sure the player knew how to use the main mechanic before starting the game. Thanks for playing!
What a great game! There was one specific part where I thought "I wish it was more than just me catching these tiny mice" and then immediately one of the big rats came out. I love the graphics quality of this as well (in my game, rotated pixel art did not have its own sprite, but yours is so clean!). My one gripe about the game is that there isn't an exact "game over" scenario (at least not from how much I played), but that's just a small critique. Great entry!
Looking at the other comments, I really did not play this game long enough lol
Yeah the lose condition was added very late on but its determined by a hidden 'mutation' value that goes up every time a rat gets through onto the left side of the screen. The colours on the road change depending on your level of mutation but all of it was a bit rushed so I understand why it was confusing. Thank you for playing!
Beautiful game jam experience! Gorgeous visuals, excellent sound, and impeccable level of polish. Love it!
Thank you! I really tried to add as many little details as possible to make the game feel polished so im grateful you think I did a good job :)
This is fantastic! Super elegant simple mechanic that is taught well early on and continues to stay interesting with the introduction of a lot of cool new mechanics. Awesome presentation and gamefeel. Yall really knocked it out of the park!
Thank you so much!
incredible game! Lots of cool content; I wish the lose condition was a little more clear and the player got more upgrades, but fantastic job!
I did have plans to add an upgrade system and make the end of the game a little more polished, but there's only so much you can do alone! Thank you for your feedback :)
