The game has an outstanding level of polish. The graphics and audio fit together really well. There are some times where the audio was too screechy sounding but it wasn't too much of an issue and just a nitpick. 5 stars for graphics and sound, no problem there.
The fact that you can do more damage to enemies by shooting them in the back is a clever idea, and the way you introduced it via level design was something I caught on to on my second playthrough. That was a good thing because I learned how to manage my bullet resources more effectively. However I would have liked the 'shooting in the back' mechanic it do be explored much further in terms of strategy, maybe in finding a way to lure enemies to a trap?
The game could have been more fun to play if the movement wasn't too slow. I almost died at my first attempt at fighting the final boss but I beat him with just a sliver of health left. The only reason I won was because I ran away and grabbed some health I didn't pick up earlier, and if I died and started all over, I would have quit right then if I had to slowly crawl back to the end.
I didn't really get the name but I did enjoy the game. 😁 Other than the movement being a little slow, the main thing I would have wanted is checkpoints. I think this would have fit really well where it worked as a checkout each time you open one of the color coded doors. I didn't really want to play through everything again per attempt at fighting the captain. 😅 Less significantly, an in-game audio control option would have been good. I hope to see this one developed further. 👍
Very cool game.
The world needs more games like Doom RPG. Had a lot of fun with this one.
I don't know if its is intended but actually text i- enemies are pretty stylish. What if you really need to combine regular expression to hit enemy?(or this was the idea and I just didng get it?)
congrats. you killed my stream. fun game.
Very big work! The game is so polish and well designed! Music are in the mood, pixel art is awesome and gameplay is fun.
Congratulations for this excellent game! :)
Great game, well done!
Great everything! One of my favorites so far. Only critique is about movement. Could be faster or in greater increments. Otherwise, it was a blast.
It's a small change, so close to updating it too, testing was a little rushed on the last day. Always appreciate your feedback though! I did find that the game was much more enjoyable when you can move more freely outside of combat.
Great work on this one. I really enjoyed playing this. I wish there was a way to remap keys though. WASD controls doesn't really work for me as I'm left handed. Still, well done!
sorry about those controls! I actually originally had it set to arrow keys then turned it off since I was worried that'd be too confusing. will turn it back on if it helps some players
Such a high-quality game!! take my 5 stars :D. Everything in this game is good, except 1 thing I don't like is the movement control, it'll be better if you can move faster because navigating around the map in the dungeon crawler game is a pain, when you need to search for an item, find the way, a lot of walking. Especially for a doom dungeon crawler like this game.
Yea, that was something I realized just a couple hours after the jam ended lol. an update is queued for when the jam voting ends. Glad you enjoyed it!
