Read Unity's update on this. They plan to roll the changes back after the feedback. I will not be participating in this Jam and I don't think anyone should

i read it too, if you dont want to join thats fine. still its a nice challange for people who only used unity to try new game engines

But why stick to unity after they tried to do something like that? It sounds to me like they gave everyone a good reason to leave that product behind.
Yeah.. they already lost the users trust.... force them to not only roll back the changes but make the free tier better and I'll think about it
There's also a history of bloated, buggy editors and a lack of backwards compatibility.
Too little, too late. Besides, this isn't their first mess-up and it won't be their last.
