  • This is a very addicting game! Why is eating fish such a compelling task?! I love it! :D

This gave me a dose of nostalgia for an Intellivision game I used to play with my grandfather, called Shark Shark. I especially like the variety in the environment graphics.

Developer

yes, it looks a lot like Shark! Shark! So many fish games out there to get ideas from. Thank you for diving in!!

Cute little GB game! I love the simple mechanics and the increasing complexity of the system while staying true to the simple overall design. One oddity I ran into is that you automove left for a little while after turning into the swordfish, then normal movement resumes. Not a big deal overall and I really enjoyed my time with this game. Now I want to try GB Studio out. Nice job!

Developer

ye ye thanks kv. The auto move is a lil janky best not to touch anything while its happening, wish I knew a way to stop input. gb studio is easy to learn and has nice templates like the platforming and point n click,  things that take time and effort to program in rm. The only thing really hard at first was the art restrictions but that's part of the fun.

Love the GB aesthetic! Sprites were adorably made. Gameplay was really enjoyable, but the lack of variation meant it overstayed its welcome a bit after wave 5. The flying fish mechanic was a really nice touch!  A few variations like that going into waves past 5 would have really sold it.

Developer

I kept the scope painfully simple but there is room for expanding with more abilities and terrains. As always thanks for playing its highly appreciated.

Pretty cute gameboy game! The music loops got my attention, real Metroid 2 vibes, starts cheery and becomes opressive and unsettling... collisions are a bit funky but I liked it.

Developer(+1)

I had a weird bug when I adjusted the hitboxes the sprites disappeared, so I left them default. its a box around a fish shape, very janky indeed but not a game breaker. I'm glad you enjoyed it, thank you.

Cool visual style and music to complement it. I found it amusing that we were cannibalizing our own species to evolve :)

Developer

it seemed like a simple enough mechanic for progression. when you put it like that it gets more disturbing, thank you.

Nice little game Wrath. I enjoyed to play it. A bit repetitive at the end, but I really appreciated the art and the music, very retro. I am curious to know what you used to make your game !
Stay safe friend !

Developer

good thing I cut the game short when I did. GB Studio is free and if you know RM its easy to learn.   tileD for the maps. thanks for checking it out

Nice concept. Loved the music. It got sort of repetitive towards the end, but it was easy to understand and pretty easy to just pick up and play.

Developer

The art and music were the most fun to make and play with. The mechanics are painfully simple because you are just a fish. Thank you for checking it out.

Nice short and simple game in the Game Boy-style, was this made in GB Studio? Seems like humans have destroyed their planet with global warming! Love the touch with the flying fish flying in the air.

Sometimes, the control gets a bit wonky after becoming the flying fish, touching the flying fish and landing back into the water as the sword fish. It seems to fix itself by trying to swim up to the surface a few times.

Nice work!

Developer

Thanks for checking it out. I wish the forced landing in the water thing was smoother too.
