nice game. A good mix of rpg and strategy.

- This was so fun and well rounded! I love how it's an entire game in such a short time. It's also quite outside the box which is super cool!

Ingenious concept that was quite nicely executed. I was supposed to go to bed but felt compelled to complete this addicting game.
As a fan of rogue-likes, I think it would have been more effective to throw the player right in and have them wander around a bit for the first round. Then after they become curious as to what is going on and die, getting that story and giving them a chance to interact with some nps. Starting with a tutorial and reading a lot is too slow a start for such intuitive gameplay.
For the jam, gameplay loop could have been a little tighter. I think a few too many rounds of walking went by. But super cool overall, and a great pitch for you plugins which I will be checking out for sure!
Hey Human !
Thank you to have play my game ! :D I'm glad you got fun.
Thanks too for the feedback. I was scared the player wouldn't figure out what was really the goal of the game, that's why I added some dialogs, especially at the beginning. But maybe you are right and I should rework that part, I'll think about that. :)
Thanks again Human, stay safe, friend !
Reid becomes the villain and corrupts the land!
It's a unique game for RPG Maker since it's normally not possible to change autotiles. It's pretty easy and fun to just run around the land corrupting all the things.
I did have some issues with the game though. The grammar and spelling made it really apparent that English is not your first language (though I was able to follow what the intent of it all was easily enough). The game's biggest weakness is backtracking: 1) If you don't go through the map with perfect efficiency you lose life. While the health bar is certainly generous enough to allow most players to recover from mistakes, it's still a little hair-raising to be going around and wondering "did I get it all?", which in turn means backtracking and losing life! 2) I have to go over the whole map multiple times. It was kinda fun the first couple of times where I was still learning where everything was and getting to explore more of the map with each replay, but by the time I had unlocked 3 or 4 of the helpers I had explored all of the map and corrupting the same parts again felt redundant.
So overall, I had enough fun to play to the end, but I almost put the game down before getting to the end because I got tired of going over the same maps again and again.
That's a really cool showcase of your awesome plugins! Draining life has never been so relaxing...
I had a lot of fun with this one!
With all the plugin witchcraft aside, there's an inherent satisfaction in 'painting'/'converting' stuff. Combining a roguelite structure made it more cohesive, as at the start you're doing tactical decisions, but at the end you're basically unstoppable.
Some funny little bugs (sometimes areas load blue, so I exit and reenter, and sometimes the elders die twice, and void's name is still Reid) but they didn't detract from the experience at all.
Yay, I am glad you had fun with my entry :D
Yeah, for the story, that's actually how I decided to make it a game. I was messing around with my plugin and made the prototype of that "painting" tiles stuff and I find that so satisfying that I had this idea of being a vilain corrupting the maps.
Thanks also for the bugs report, I'm gonna take a look and push an update to fix that when the game jam will be over ! :)
Stay safe !
I never thought eradicating all life could be so relaxing. I enjoyed every minute of this, great use of become the villain theme. Great entry.
This game is VERY fun. Great job. It takes a while to build shards in the beginning, but once I could kill trees, it was all cream cheese.
This is a really addicting gameplay loop, and it's definitely helped by the satisfaction of the visual changes on the map.
