A very fun and addictive game! I got the second-to-last dinosaur fairly easily, then spent lots of attempts trying to get the last one (and still haven't gotten it)
It's so cool! Very beautiful dinosaurs and cool gameplay! So far, I have reached the tenth dinosaur. ( = ⩊ = )
the best game i love this

Thanks for playing!
I love this game so much. The art style is adorable and the fact that there's jar rattling sounds when you bump the jar is lovely. It's like I have a jar full of dino toys. It is enrichment!
I also love the bump feature in general. it works well with the fact that your dinos aren't perfectly round, so they don't roll like in suika game. so though you're inspired by it, that bumping feature does help make it more unique. I've sometimes played unlimited bumps just because I want to shake the jar a bunch.
I also feel like sharing that when I was sharing with a friend about the game and mentioning the bumps, i was trying to explain how it worked well and just went "well in the main game they're not a commodity, I mean, they are- wait i think that's the right word, but I just mean- ...dino saurus. (/ :3)"
Only time I had issues with the game was when some larger dinos merging caused them to get stuck together, but it makes sense since they are such funky shapes and the bigger ones can cause more displacement. honestly, it's expected enough that it doesn't take away from the game much for me.
Thanks for playing and sharing with your friend! Yea the dinos getting stuck was a common issue we got. I believe it is because some of the more funky shaped dinos use concave collision shapes rather than convex hulls and the godot physic engine isnt as precise with those. We are currently generating the collision shape based on the sprite, but we would probably get better results if for the odd shaped dinos we made custom collision shapes made of multiple convex hulls. What else can I say about it other than physics bugs leave me dino sore...
We appreciate the feedback!
Very fun - Liked the merging elements and the Tetris vibe. Ive come back and played this one a couple times now. Overall I felt this one was very well done!
Thanks for playing! We appreciate the compliments! I actually made a tetris like game for dinojam 2 a couple of years ago at https://cranberryninja.itch.io/tetrisaurus if you want to check it out. Unfortunately it was much earlier on in my game dev experience so it is a bit rougher around the corners.
That was fun, great game! :-) I really enjoyed the interactive main menu. I had to see how many different dinosaurs would come into the screen when you move the mouse to the edge of the game. :-D Well done!
We had a lot of fun putting the menu and the credits together. Little secret, but if you click on the menu dinos they will talk to you ;). Thanks for playing!
Aw man, I can spend all day on merge games, blast you for making one and make it such fun! I actually spilled my entire jar bumping the dinosaurs around to join them. I will certainly come bck to this game!
Thanks for playing! Yea I think we made the bump button a little broken, might need to add a cooldown because I have seen it be abused to clear the jar. Glad you are having fun!
I can certainly do better and I will later. ;D
Ok, that was my first time. I really enjoyed it. Really cool mix of dinosaur theme and additional theme together. Cool entry!
Thanks for playing it! Not a bad score for a first run!
Ooo, this is cool! I love the HighScore touch on this, too! I’m going to have to see how you did that!
Thanks! I hosted a web server with an api that I send post and get requests to send and receive the scores. The game is made in Godot and I just use the HTTPRequest Node to send the requests and update the high score list. On the server I wrote an algorithm to attempt to catch cheaters, but that was about it. If you are curious on the details let me know and I can send you more info.
Awesome! From that I can probably figure that out great explanation! But if you have any specific tutorial you followed that would also be great info. Thanks!
