Do you work for Oracle? B/c I can't believe I installed Java on my comp. :P

I'm a terrible shooting ice bear. I can't save my snowman town who is being attacked by snowmen and poptarts. The disappointment i must be to the bear village. Thanks for the game and crazy christmas music. A definitely out there game! :) - ET

Overall, this is pretty great. I think there should been a 'cooldown' to the player's shots, otherwise you can just mash the fire buttons and you don't even need to move the bear left or right. The turrets were a cool addition, and I'm glad they can't kill the snowmen, ha! I was worried at first.

For theme, I'm a bit on the fence. There certainly is a town on screen, but I don't see exactly how the town ties in with the rest of the game. (Though I gotta respect the snowman inclusion). If it was more clear that the enemies are harassing the townsfolk, or perhaps the town stretched across the middle 75% screen instead of the leftmost 20%, then it would fit much better.

For fun, I really enjoyed it. I liked the exponential growth the turrets make. Turrets cost money, but give you money as well, so the flat price of the turret just exponentially gives you money. Perhaps make the turrets get pricier with each turret? Either way, it's fun. Having to dodge the snowmen added a whole lot too! Great work on the fun aspect.

For innovation, I like how you're aiming both up and down. Most shooters are unidirectional, but having both makes it interesting.

The graphics were nice! I loved the enemy designs, like the mushroom man with pants. Plus the bear is great looking! I've always gotta compliment the artist when they can draw something that I can't, and I'm terrible at realistic animals. ha! Fantastic work on the graphics.

The music was nice, and the sound definitely fits the rest of the game.

There isn't much humor, though I really enjoyed the mushroom with pants.

I feel like the mood is the once category I could see the most improvement on. This ties back into the comment I made about making it clear that the enemies are harassing the snowmen. I'm not super attached to the snowmen for any reason or another, and the town being paced to the far left of the screen disconnects the game from it. It sounds silly, but I think moving all the action to the inside of the town could dramatically improve the experience.

Great job!

That gets pretty intense!

This is quite fun! I'd have loved this back in 2010 on my dad's blackberry.

I'm having trouble getting this to run on Windows. Any advice?

Do you have Java installed? Could you try running the game from a command prompt (via java -jar) and telling me if there's any errors there?
