Hello! Welcome to Feedback Quest 5! It's nice to meet you! My name's Hythrain. I'm part of the FQ team and a hobbystreamer. I'm writing this review live after having played your game.
As is normal for my first time playing, I don't pay attention to what the game is about until I'm playing it. That way, it allows what the game is about to surprise me. So when I booted up the game, I wasn't sure what I was in for. It wasn't until part way through the first character that I realized it was about women's rights, and even longer to realize it was about getting these rights in Argentina. It took me a while to put together how the game worked, where different choices led to changing the amount of damage dealt, though I never understood what part the signatures had for the gameplay other than being a nice inclusion of showcasing how people utilize their rights to make change.
I think a bit of explanation going in about what you're supposed to be doing would be helpful, and I would like to see more variety in sounds. The same voices for characters felt a little old before I was done the second stage.
Overall, I like the game and I think it's spreading an important message.
I played this on Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1917238596?t=00h17m14s
I loved the concept of the game being about women's rights, with the gameplay being a little bit like the Monkey Island "swordfight" with words (I don't remember the actual name).
A lot of the issues brought up by the 3 rounds are near and dear to me, some of which are current issues in the USA. I love that the devs are bringing more attention to these basic human rights issues, and I hope more people will play this game and learn more about the issues.
The battle system was a bit strange, I didn't really understand why I lost a ton of hp for some of the responses, which seemed like perfectly valid rebuttals. Maybe a bit more explanation there would be good!
Overall, this was a good game and I'd play more levels when they're available!
I played it in private but I would love to stream it later, first feedback is that I took about 2 tries to beat the entire game, I grasp the concept quickly because these arguments are very familiar to me. Even if I don't know what happened in Argentina, the same battle has been fought in the USA.
However, I have to agree it feels a bit more like an animated quiz on the knowledge of the subject at this point of development, rather than a strategy game, since it's too heavily relied on personal knowledge of the subject to beat the game, rather than having the player collect the knowledge and be educated within the game itself, such as collecting each answers, learn the story behind it, then you would use them against opponents, then it would feel more like a general strategy game.
I got the gist of picking the correct defense line to minimize the damage, but at one point the game is making me pick answers I would have never picked because it was the only one left??? (but it did damage anyway, the soap opera choice) lol
Here's my 2nd playthru:

Hi, Altabestudio! We watched your stream, it was really nice!
We are pleased to hear that the topic is relevant outside of our country (we are from Argentina). As for the game, this is just an early demo and soon we will add more stuff, like debates, stories, unlockables, and the possibility to skip bad arguments in some way 🤭. More information and historical context will be added in the updates for sure.
Thank you so much for your feedback and support 🤗 We are glad you liked it.
Hi, Paladin_Ecko! We watched your video. Thank you for playing "Valerosa".
Regarding the gameplay, we designed the fights as turn-based debates. Initially, the man presents an argument, and your task is to respond and defend yourself (although it always "damages" you, more or less). Afterward, the roles reverse, and you will need to decide the most compelling argument.
We will do our best to enhance the experience and provide clearer instructions within the gameplay. This is just an early demo.
Thank you again for your feedback and support 🤗
