This doesn't feel like a complete game. It feels like a game that you might create as part of a tutorial on game programming. It's very simple and doesn't have a lot of features to it.  There is no progression, all enemies die in one hit, etc.

I think you need some logic behind the attacks. For example, make them in waves or give enemies a specific behavior so the player has some space for tactics. Currently, the enemies come seemingly randomly, and some are so fast and fly straight at you that it is impossible to do anything.

Hello! Welcome to Feedback Quest 6! My name's Hythrain, and I'm one of the hosts and streamers for this event! This feedback is being written live on my stream.

This was a fun prototype game. I got to level 32 in my second run, so I felt pretty proud of myself.

Since it's a prototype, I won't comment on things you can do to expand it as these would be things you would come to naturally. Instead, I'll cover things that the prototype should have that it didn't.

You had use of music but no sound effects. I would say a sound effect for shooting and one based on each ship when it spawns (which happens off screen) would go a long way to prep players for what's coming and let them know when they've fired (there were times I would narrowly stop someone but would never see a shot). I would also suggest some sort of meter that indicates shot cooldown (you could do a circle effect around the turret, where once it fills it'll vanish and you can shoot). Finally, I played this on a computer and felt I was punished a little more for it, as if I wanted to turn faster I needed to keep my cursor in the middle. An easy way to alleviate this would be to allow for a sight line from the turret. That way, the player knows where it is and it's simply a matter of reacting fast enough.

Other than this, I loved this and I hope to see it expanded on.

Hello, thank you very much for the feedback. I was aware that you were streaming the games, and it was a shame not being able to see when you played it. Also, thank you very much to you and the other hosts for giving us developers this opportunity. I will take all the feedback from the event into account and will work on an advanced version of the game later on.

Tried the web version on my phone. Overall gameplay was fun, the hitbox was sometimes a bit off, but after some practice it got easier targeting the enemies. Perhaps adding powerups and/or health pools to regain some health would enhance gameplay?

Really like the visuals and especially the music. Well done 🥳

tried the web version now, I feel this could be a decent mobile experience, perhaps even addictive with some more juice like screen shakes and powerful sound effects.

I feel it gets easier when I am losing, which I do like a lot, I tend to be a very non skilled player.

the minimalistic visuals is quite a charm as well

Nice little shooter! I'm not sure I would call it a twin-stick shooter since there is really only aiming not moving. But the overall gameplay is pretty fun and I love the idea of increasing fire rate as you lose health. It helps to make the later levels feel more frantic in a good way. The biggest feedback I would have is that the hit boxes seemed a bit off as I would often get close enough with a shot on a scarab or fly for it to touch them but the hit would not register. I also think the fly may be a little too fast at the lower levels, but once you get a hang of the controls it starts to become less of a problem. Overall, had a good bit of fun with this so definitely nice job!

Yes, the FLY is too fast and fire rate is too slow. Many times there is not enough time to shoot 3 different targets. But overall, it is a nice and neat game to spend a couple minutes playing :)

I am getting this after installing
