Solid work! It really tests your reflexes when enemies spawn near an edge you are close to. I think it would be cool if there were some slower asteroids all around the screen to go along with the things flying straight at you really fast

Developer

Noted! I may end up slowing down the larger asteroids a bit or randomizing within a range, but glad you enjoyed it overall :)

Neat concept.
Controls were innovative and movement felt nice.
I really loved the different effects you had from the movement of the character, to the movement and destroying of the asteroids, it was real clean.
I also liked the sound effects and music. I liked the touch of the golden meteor from time to time.
I really liked how when you managed to defeat the fast moving golden meteor that it gave you double shot, very rewarding.
The pause sound effect was really nice to hear.

Suggestion: It would be cool if you could explore around the world more because I noticed when I moved around close to the edge the camera would kind of follow and it made me feel that I would be able to go further out into the world, while also still having to survive in the game

Another thing that would have been cool would be some sort of big slow moving asteroid that you really have to focus on to defeat and it needs a certain amount of hits before it blows up. This could kind of be like a boss/minigame level, but I think it would be fun to add.

Overall, nice work!

Thank you! I’ve gotten similar feedback from a couple of folks about the background making it seem like there’s a larger area, so I’m looking into ways to resolve that.

I like the slow moving asteroid idea too and have some plans around that down the road.

this is just so fun! the concept isn't anything new, but the implementation is just really polished and feels just right. controls scheme is very interesting and it's actually good once you get used to it. although, I don't know if it's a web build bug, or a hidden mechanic where you get fuel by destroying asteroids or something, but sometimes pressing space just wouldn't get the ship to move.. I mean there is fun even to that, you know, when an asteroid is moving at you and space doesn't work, and it feels like you're that guy from a horror movie trying to start a car lol

My #1 goal was to get the controls right, so you don’t know how much I appreciate that.

And the cold start is definitely a bug lol. I had it happen when I accidentally clicked on another window but the game kept running; there’s already a fix for this on mobile but I’ll put a task for desktop in the queue.

Got a score of 783. Fun game! I think you could probably speed up the intensity / difficulty of the game. It was fairly easy until I got the 4-shot blaster.

Nice, and thanks! The idea was spawn hazards fairly slowly so new players can adjust, but this gives me an excuse to try scaling it off of player performance (e.g., shot accuracy) instead.
