  • Great game ! It took me 3 tries, but every time I wanted to start again. I really liked the gameplay loop of gathering wood while protecting the cart/fire, those events with the magician, there's even weapon variaty with the axe and the sword. I wasnt sure what was the perpose of the green fruits tho, I threw them into the fire, not sure if it was what I was supposed to do haha. Great game !
  • This is a really great entry! It was fun, had a good level of challenge, and really nice atmosphere. For critiques, I thought the attack could have been improved a little. It felt a little hard to judge where it was actually hitting and the animation felt kind of weak. It took two playthroughs for me to win and on the first one I lost because I had a hard time figuring out where fuel was. I feel like maybe highlighting the first few logs off the path would have been good to help the player get a little better sense of where they might have to go to find them. Aside from those nitpicks though, really fantastic entry I genuinely enjoyed!

this was really fun! I particularly liked the visuals, and the animation when you lose is top notch (but not too long to where it gets annoying)

I had some trouble getting started - my first playthrough or two I couldn't find any weapons, and wasn't super sure what to do. I think adding some tutorial elements at the beginning would really pull this together

Very fun game. Don't have any complaints. Good job!

This has been my fav of the jam so far. Loved it! Art, music, sound effects all came together great. I found it challenging but managed to get to the safe haven after 3 or 4 attempts.

Fantastic job!

That's so great to hear! Thank you for playing the game :)

Awesome concept. It was fun to play. I like the art style and music. My only grief would be with the controls, and I get that can totally be a personal preference thing. I just prefer to use the mouse to aim, basically. I found combat quite challenging because I wasn't always sure which direction I was facing or where the axe was going to strike when I was surrounded. However, you nailed the atmosphere in terms of lighting and music - and there was more to forage for than I thought there would be!

Thank you for your playing the game! I'm glad you enjoyed the atmosphere. I totally get your gripes with the controls, you're not the only one who would've preferred explicit aiming.

Something to take away for upcoming projects ;)

The web version could not be loaded, but the desktop version for linux works well. Fun game. Collect wood and avoid enemies to keep the flame going. It takes a little deeper into the woods and since the carts are constantly moving it can be challenging. It looks great visually and the music fits and is not intrusive.

This loading issue in the browser is unfortunate, just had it myself on Linux. I'm glad the downloaded version worked.

Thank you for playing :)
