- Interesting idea and creative take on the theme! The cutscene art looked nice, and the in game sprites worked all right. The font was a little tough to read at times, and after playing through a few times to get all the endings it was a little disappointing realizing the dialogue options didn't actually change anything. It was fun uncovering the story, although the endings felt a little rushed. I had a bit of a tough time understanding how one thing led to another a lot of the time. The achievements were a nice touch, as were the extras. I thought it might have been a fun thing to hide the extras behind getting all the achievements making them more of a reward. Overall, really ambitious game for the jam pulled of pretty well. Good job!
- I'm not sure who I was playing as, somebody in the little girls head ? I do not understand what was the big teddy bear with an apron either, but it was cool, was wholesome. My only nit picking woulb the the typewriter sound effect, having a sound on every letter was a bit much and since there were no variation it felt like a big noise more that typewritting. The art was great, the ending was nice.
Did you work alone, or as part of a group? (If in a group, list their names)
potato from discord. (creator) and @auroras_arto from Instagram. (cutscene artist)
Disclose if you used any public domain assets or not.

Hrmm couldn't get the controls to respond, nice art style of what I saw.
thanks :D
what is the controls that you use?
Cool take on the theme, cool idea, nice work!
thanks a lot!!!
I'm glad u like it
Liked it very much! It's rare to see a game with multiple endings in a jam, so cool!
thanks ;D
glad you like it
Good game art is good and it gives a nice message.
thanks :D
This is more like a visual novel than a game, but that's OK. I guess the correct term is a walking sim. Clearly a lot of work went into this. The teddy bear was a bit scary...
ye, it is a visual novel,
thanks a lot!
Nice nod to UT.
Drawers. But there aren't any knives.
Hey, me and some friends are working on an rpg game and we need an artist. Please ping me on discord as soon as it's convenient.
i dont have your discord tag
I think my favorite part about this game is that the house does not logically or physically make any sense. The caretaker being an imaginary friend based on a stuffed toy is an obvious reading, but it's the level design that really elevates this to surreal character study. The one thing I will point out as someone who has done a good couple of artsy walking sims is: when your movement isn't a game mechanic, there's no reason for it to be as physicsy as it is in this. You want the tiniest bit of acceleration and deceleration so your character feels alive, but not a ton so that walking feels good since the player's gonna do a lot of it. But overall, I enjoyed this!
thanks, (sorry for that part)
spoilers:
the bear isn't imaginary he's actually a robot but I forgot to add that part,
and about the movement acceleration/deceleration I think your right ๐
Okay, but hear me out: maybe the robot, who (spoilers, for anyone else reading this) has human blood, is also just a figment of the girl's imagination, just like the player
I actually also forgot to add that too. due to forgetting, originally it would've bean like:
Mr. bear! y-your bleeding.
thanks for noting that ๐
I think your idea is better lol
Cool art style.
thanks ^_^
Said before but I really like the art style. Fits the tone of your game well. I enjoyed getting the other endings.
Without spoiling things there is a falling object sound that still has the audio watermark of "preview" in it which took me out of the game a bit. Other than that I enjoyed it a lot, a really interesting take on theme.
wait which sound was that ๐
, and thanks again!
When you go to the basement, try to turn right but you actually go left as part of the story. There's a crash sound shortly after that scene. You can hear the word "preview" during the sound.
thanks for telling me, I should've been more careful (I liked the way of the describing ๐ thanks)
Not just an ordinary game, more like art. The story is in fact sad and tells of the loss of a loved one. The art style is different and I think it fits well.
thanks, I'm glad you like it
