  • The standout for this game is definitely the art. It's pretty simple, but executed well especially in the actual game. The downside for me is definitely the lack of content. It's pretty easy to just stand next to the pet and click it forever for money and then buy it food, at which point the game just basically becomes a waiting simulator. Some more choices for the player to make is definitely needed
  • Love that intro ! The goofy style and ridiculous premise XD I was mostly confused about the gameplay tho, there was like a big white box that would move around on the bottom left, hidding some food UIs that I could still click, the pet didnt seem to care about the food. It would cry then idk. Maybe it was bugged for me. I did laugh a lot at the intro and it's still a cool entry.

A silly tamagotchi game :) There needed to be more than feed and clean, but the basics of a tamagotchi game was there. The art was simple, but I did note the good animation in walking. The sound was very well used to keep it engaging. Good job with this!

I love how the game does not take itself seriously and acts all goofy, especially the intro, needs improvements in terms of gameplay but that's what jams are for, trying stuff and getting feedback.

good job and best of luck.

I love the goofy aesthetic, and the intro cutscene, but course, I have some criticism for you:

1) Not enough in the gameplay. The gameplay got boring fast, although I can see you've heard this enough from other people, so I'm not gong to go too much in depth.

2) Phone ringing sound? Throughout the game, there was a phone ringing sound and I'm not sure what it meant. It's either a random sound effect that probably should've been kept out or it's an actual thing and there isn't any explanation anywhere.

3) UI bug. Sometimes, the UI (all of it, including the laptop and vault), would glitch and change it's position, meaning I'd have to reload the page.

Other than that, though, great entry. The art is terrible in the best way possible, the music is great, the sfx are well done, and the intro cutscene is hilarious. Good job!

1) yeah

2) i got this complaint from a lot of people
the phone ringing sound is apart of the music that plays in the background.
it sounded like a nice addition when i was making and listening to it by itself but during it, i didnt notice how it could make people feel like theres some other mechanic in-game

3) i was recently informed that the ui shifts weirdly if you full screen the game
the position of it would change depending on the window's height and width. i was playing in a 1280 by 720 window, meanwhile some computers, when full screened, can exceed that and may mess with it a little. if this happened by some other mean, then oops, i dont know what i did wrong!!

im glad you still found some enjoyment in it tho :)

This game is hilarious on a gameplay level and incredible on a technical level. How do I know? Because I have a GDveleop project for a pet simulation game that barely counts as functional and you've made a whole game in ten days. Wait, seven! You started on day three!

I love the goofy tone that this game has. It was fun trying to figure out the gameplay. The ending was cheap in a way that matched the rest of the experience. Yeah, you could add more complexity, but do you need to?

Actually, yeah, you might want more stuff to do.

little fun fact: the ending was made in 10 minutes lol
im thinking that if i do actually expand on it, it would have a proper ending and would have like an endless mode too with saving!

Absolutely in love the games style, but it really needed more time in the oven. past the intro cutscene (which was great) there isn't much of a reason to stick around. If you would had made the dude say random stuff or stuff appear as the game went on it could had excused the gameplay.

Developer

there were plans to have decorations, modifiers, and neat little gimmicky things the player could earn through the shop but i didnt have time to finalize them into the game :(

i will take your consideration into account if i decide to expand upon the game :))
