I liked them all! Well-made and good texts, too. Always been a fan of plaintext files. Thankfully, I am pretty immune to shopping for fun because I simply don't have the money ๐Ÿ˜…

The gardening for free made me think - there's a lot of unused areas in the outskirts here that could work to plant something guerilla style ๐Ÿค” That could make for another chapter.

Also loved the cardboard one a lot. Overall just interesting and fun reads :)

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed them. I haven't done much guerilla gardening myself, but I am a fan of it, and I've seen it done to great effect in many places that have food desserts. I will have to look into it and see if I could develop some ideas around it. Thank you for the suggestion!

These were all pretty great. My fave was the plaintext one. I love text files! I count standard markdown as plaintext, myself. My favourite blog software (Hugo) uses markdown as the default storage format. Also there's a cool text only movie script format called fountain!

Thanks for reading! I absolutely agree that markdown should also count as plaintext, since it's not at all obfuscated and can still be opened in any editor. I probably should have mentioned the similarities, but markdown can also be its own kind of rabbit hole, and I didn't want to get sucked into it for this short piece :)

I really liked the idea for Art Swap Groups, and composting. I'd never thought about plaintext in such a positive manner, but you bring up some very interesting points regarding it!

Glad you were able to find some ideas you liked! I was hoping everyone would be able to find something that would be helpful.

Amazing zines, I agree totally on plain text files, and Quit Shopping For Fun was inspiring, thanks!

Hi Mr. Frugal ;).

I also enjoyed reading through these. Liked especially the gardening one - our whole flat is green :).
