  • I enjoyed this game, the premise was simple yet fit the theme nicely, and the game had that "one more go" quality to it. Regarding feedback, the main thing is I encountered a few instances of the answer not being correct. Normally I wouldn't mention bugs in game jam feedback but it's kind of a critical bug in this particular game. The pixel art was nice, the voice acting was solid. I'm not sure if there's much scope to expand on this premise alone into a bigger game but I could definitely see something like this being a mini-game in a larger game. Well done, great work!

I like the idea too.
Chinese and Japanese pronunciation is good.
For Japanese it better to say 「おはようございます。」than 「おはよう」in this situation.

Hey thank!

Also  if/when I go back to this  game I'll try and add your  suggestion   .

I really like the idea, and it is quite fun! A few times though it felt like the game was a bit bugged. I had the flag of Belgium come up, and the correct answer sounded to me like "Guten Morgen" from German. However, only a small part of Belgium actually speaks German.

Also, maybe I'm stupid but what exactly was I supposed to do here?

Also, big props to you for actually speaking the words yourself! Sure, it's not studio quality, but it added a nice little personal touch.

Hey ya there are few bug with selection (the  toggle dont reset to the off stat between  answers). Also the code was designed for  multi language countries that have up to 4 national languages, but sadly I wasn't able to get it all working in my sort time frame.   Glad to hear you liked my attempts at trying other languages (only thing i didn't stream when i was making the game, I was a bit shy about that). And yes that flag match up is a bug  (New Zealand). The code is meant to generate the answers first, pick one then set the correct flag on the car, but because how the random generation picks the answers sometimes the flag gets set before the answer is pick and this happens.

I like the idea and the concept, and also the fact that it is voiced, we can see the theme quite well, a little background music could have been a plus but it remains a very good prototype

Developer

Thanks, ya I wanted to put some elevator music in, but couldn't find something i  liked in time (and no way had time to make it myself).

Like the idea! I also got 'wrong' a couple of times when I had got it right, but generally good idea, like the fact that it's voiced too

Developer

Ya there is a bug in the code that will think you toggled the wrong answer when you did pick the correct one, sorry about that.

Very much liked this game! Sometimes i would select the flag, i would be marked wrong but when they say 'the correct answer is' it would match lol. Maybe expand to when it corrects, it says the correct country as well? This was fun!

Originally I was  meant to say the correct country and I have a hints system  build in but never got around to doing all the audio recording for it. Also some countries have more then on national language, but I didnt   have the time to setup the correct connections in code.
