Lovely graphics! I included it in my GameDevNetwork: Gooseberry Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Really good work!! the pixel art, sound and upgrade mechanics were all really well done! really well put together for the amount of time we had. The only thing I didn't like was the landing delay but I didn't even notice it after a couple mins.

I love the pixel art and the upgrade mechanic.  Every attack upgrade it felt stronger and snappier and that was great!  The sound effects of the villagers really sold me on me being evil in the game. Great little touch there!

Good job everyone!

Really enjoyable game! Big fan of the basing/upgrade mechanic, beautiful pixel art and the camera control was great. A couple of gripes would be that the slight delay after landing from a jump, while minor, really feels like an interruption of flow in movement and a little frustrating to work with.

I'd also like to see more ways to heal up aside from combos, such as while you are at the altar or offer an upgrade for passive regeneration / ability to combat the light balls.

Great work, Necroreaper was a treat to play!

Thank's so much for playing, and I'm glad you enjoyed the game. Also thank you a lot for the feedback!

I kinda agree about the delay after landing, that was a last-day change, because we wanted to implement the landing animation without a weird-looking of it. So this was the result, however can be improved a lot ;)

Game is not balanced also, we finished it literally 30 minutes before the jam deadline (SFX and music). 3 days after releasing the game I can tell for example, that pixies could do more damage, and yeah, maybe healing up in other ways should be a thing also.

Cool game. I liked how you can dash when you buy an upgrade. But

  1. Is there any way to avoid light? (It moves slower than you but at some point you reach the left border and light inevitably reaches you)
  2. Is there any way to restore health?
Developer

hey! Thanks for playing.

You can avoid the pixies jumping over them with dashes. Or doing a teleport back to the altar will make them die.

About the health, you restore it by picking souls, the problem is that those restore just a bit of HP, you need to do many kills in short periods of time in order to achieve a combo (which multiplies the health restored  per soul picked)
