I liked the procedural map and the gameplay is very unique and engaging. The sounds of the monster really add to how tense the game can feel and seeing the monster moving around on the map is prefect. I like the graphics but it’s a shame that the level is mostly imperceptible with how dark it is. Maybe it could have been just bright enough to see the silhouette of the level but not the numbers, as currently it feels almost more like you are navigating the grid on the map rather than going through an actual environment as you don’t really get to see it.
It's a pretty fun game, makes me wish Five Nights at Freddy's would give me a gun...
A super intense and thrilling game! To confirm your position, you have to fire a shot, but that comes at the cost of revealing your exact location to the enemy. Such a creative concept, but maybe it’s just a bit too challenging for me.
I like the procedural part of the maze, creates a bit of variety and makes sure you cant memorise the map. The theme could have been taken a bit further, the gun wasn't used for anything except lighting up the area around you. Maybe managing to shoot the monster could stun him for a bit?
Thanks for playing my game and for the feedback :)
I did consider allowing the player to stun the monster with the gun but, in play testing, I found it made the game a bit too easy so I changed it so the monster takes a step back instead.
Firing the gun also creates a loud noise that will be highlighted on your map, giving the player a way to pinpoint their current location in case they get lost, but I'll admit I didn't really communicate this to the player.
My heart was low-key pounding when I was entering the numbers, was fat fingering like mad and could just hear the monster getting closer and closer. Very fun nevertheless, good job!
Love the idea! Cool implementation, just wish I could see the monster!
The monster is shy and doesn't like being looked at :3
