This was fantastic! I really loved the hand-drawn graphics!  It might be a good idea to let the player move while charging the swing.

I like the hand-drawn art you produced, this game has lots of charm. I wish my character was a bit faster and could charge her swing (even if it charged slower) while moving. I think also she could just swing when I release "O", no need to involve another key. All in all a nice take on a Sports game, well done.

I got through the first couple of opponents.  I liked the art style.  It took me a bit to realize the instructions were on screen for the first match: derp...

I like the hand drawn art style and music. I agree with the previous comment about the dialog happening before the matches as I often missed much of it due to focussing on hitting the ball. Another suggestion would be to allow movement when charging for a shot as it would make hitting the ball a bit less frustrating at times.

I like this game. I feel like the art and music has a good appeal to them and the gameplay is also pretty fun. My main suggestion is to have things like the controls or dialogue happen before the gameplay instead of during because it's hard to multitask with this game. Also I feel like a multiplayer mode would be the perfect addition to this game.
