What was your favourite part of working on your game during GDM?
Making the shaders! Mainly the snow and ice ones.
What was the hardest part of creating your game?
I broke my wrist at the start of the month, so progress has unfortunately been slow on this project and it didn't reach the complexity i wanted. Though it is a great foundation to build upon with many systems laid out for a future update or two.
Did you use any pre-existing assets in your submission?
Everything is made using unity primitive objects (cubes spheres, capsules, etc) I also drew all the icons myself too. I sourced the music from online though.

Great game! Super impressive you made all of the graphics! Audio was really done well. It was fun to manipulate the snow and the UI was done well. The only thing I wasn't sure about was the point. I made a few snow balls and tried to use the shovel to pack it down, but I couldn't tell if it did anything. Maybe just adding brief description in the menu or an attached tutorial video would have helped. Anyway, really well done!
I wasn't paying attention and didn't realize there was a danger, so I was just happy making giant snow balls... then the storms came! Really cool game, I hope you update it!
Thanks for your compliments! I definitely plan to update this soon (I just want to keep it the same as when I submitted it while voting is active still).
Sorry to hear about your wrist...I thought what you had here was pretty sweet! It's a very unique idea that really captures the feeling of being a kid out it the snow during January, and it managed to get me really engrossed with the things you can do in it. As others said, it could use higher stakes since the spiky ice things appear to be unable to kill you, but I still think you've got something good here.
thanks for the feedback, the ice things do damage you, but i toned down the damage alot (maybe too much) before uploading since they were one-shotting the player!
Good concept, pretty fun for what was here, especially the whole fortification aspect of it. Definitely something that could be expanded upon later down the line.
the game was pretty relaxing actually. Kinda directionless at the moment but a great idea. You could easily build upon this to make base building/relaxing experience if you wanted to.
Thanks!
It's a really fun experience. I feel that it definitely has a lot of potential to get better, with the solid foundation like you said. The graphics are really nice, it's impressive that you make all of it from primitives. I also enjoy the dynamic soundtrack for the day/night cycle. The gameplay cycle is intriguing, with gathering and building/repairing your base in the day, and surviving the storm at night.
While it is fun, there are some big problems. The biggest issue is that there seems to be little to no stakes in surviving, the flying ice doesn't seem to harm the player at all. Another issue is that the UI scaling is very broken on other aspect ratios. There's also barely anything to build that's useful at the moment. I hope you expand on this concept as it really does seem like a solid base for something more in-depth.
Thank you for your feedback!
Pretty cool game and relaxing. I made a huge snowball. This concept could probably be continue to be build on and added with some sort of farming more base building and pets to be a full game in the future.
Thank you.
