Very nice game, the graphics look solid
I liked the upgrades and the different weapons :)
I didn't really like the part where asteroids were falling at the sides of the screen but I couldn't get to them, due to the limited angle of the turret. I was like, "oh come on, if you put asteroids there - let me shoot them!" haha
Overall its a good entry
Thanks for playing and for the feedback. The angle is also an upgrade, so it is meant to be a bit off in the beginning until you unlock it, but it is indeed something to consider for the future.
Good game in all its aspects ! You did really great job here.
Just one thing, can we lose in this game ? Lot of meteorite hit the ground when my shield was disabled but nothing happen ^^
Thank you very much for the compliments.
You cannot really lose. Once the shield is disabled, the mines stop mining. Then you need to recharge it to continue mining. That's the only penalty for now.
This game looks great! Really well done with the graphics and sound effects. It was fun to power up the weapons and see things escalate. Was there an actual game ending?
As room for improvement, it might be better to fully pause the asteroids (and the mining) while dealing with upgrades in the base.
(I had no performance problems playing in Chrome and on MacOS.)
Thanks for the reply. Indeed, most of the comments were about this pause strategy. Something to add in a future update, for sure :)
Yes, there is a "game ending" when you finish all the Lab upgrades, but there is no cutscene for it (yet).
Thanks for the reply on the performance :)
Good game. Unfortunately WebGL performance was on the edge of playable...
Thanks for the feedback. Yes, the game is a bit heavy, but hopefully you could see some of it.
I played this on a laptop and there were some minor glitches because of my screen resolution, having to scroll horizontally to click buttons and I couldn't point the gun to hit asteroids that were coming down the left/right edges of the screen. That is just 1 small feedback suggestion, everything else looked and played great, it's a very fun game!
Thanks a lot for the feedback. Indeed, the resolution is locked to 1600x900, so it does not work that well in smaller screens. I'll try to make it modular after the voting, so players can adjust the resolution to fit their screens better.
Really impressive game, I LOVE the graphics and rated that as such. Overall great game!

When you have some time, I'd love it if you check out my game Moon Blob =) https://avatar-nick.itch.io/moon-blob
Thank you very much for the feedback. Yes, the pause on the menu could have been a better approach indeed, thanks for the suggestion.
Enjoyable game with excellent graphics and atmosphere (also nice music and sound effects!). I especially appreciated the lighting and cannon/laser and asteroid explosion effects. Going back to the base and upgrading the weapons was fun and you succeeded in making the player feel progressively more powerful. I will admit that just shooting asteroids became a bit repetitive after a while so perhaps adding more different weapons and incentivising the use of different weapons in different situations would have been nice.
Thanks for the compliments and feedback. Indeed, I was constantly questioning the idea of new weapons and other mechanics, but I ended up choosing to keep it simple so I could have one entire campaign there.
Really fun! I love the simple concept and it kept the hooked the entire time. The visual effects and sound effects add a lot to the experience. The gunplay felt really fun especially after I unlocked weapon switching. Great game overall, awesome work!
Thank you very much for the compliments :)
I love it. Congratz on this great game.
Thank you very much. I really appreciate the compliment.
I get a black screen :/
(purple background to be specific…)
It might be that the game is just taking a long time to load. Some people reported the same to me. Can you just wait a bit longer? Thank you very much.
The gameplay for this has to be the highlight for me. I always love the feeling of getting upgrades and getting noticeably more powerful, and this game is a cycle of that!
That was exactly my plan :) A friend of mine said something similar, that he loved this progression games, and I have never made one myself. Then I decided to give it a try. Thank you very much for testing and the compliments.
Really liked the graphics. The gameplay has become a bit boring closer to the end - just idled at the base to get minerals for the last upgrade :D
Overall - very good and well done!
Thank you very much for the compliments. Indeed, I still had plans for the late game, but your remark made me reconsider also if I could not change (rebalance) the requirements for the last upgrades.
This game is so addicting!! I am really enjoying it :D
Some comments
Im doing something cheeky right now – noticed that I can leave the turret, and wait for my miners to do some work while I write this review, to get the 1000 needed :)
(BTW my avg FPS == 60 on browser)
I did the final upgrade and I was hoping id get so see a cool animation of the moon imploding! That would have been a nice “Game successfully completed” goal, maybe with a page of stats for how long etc I took to complete it… cause now it just seems to me like I have to keep going till I die/quit out?
So apparently nothing happens even if I do let asteroids get through? It would be cool to have the base blow up or smth if I dont do anything about the shield
I would have liked to see a win/lose screen/animation. Other than that, I think the game is great!
Thank you so much for all the comments. I'll try to address your comments as best as possible, but let me know if anything is not clear:
1 - Indeed, I would like to have spend more time testing and assessing the UI elements, including the intro dialogue. I already felt the intro dialogue was a bit too much, and maybe adding a tutorial would make the game early stage too long, but I'll surely consider changing this after the Game Jam voting.
2 - The UI shield health in the turret mode is certainly a good idea. I have some ideas on where it would be placed, but couldn't implement it in time. What is there currently is that the shield shader fades to completely transparent when it is out, but I think the effect is too subtle to notice.
3 - Maybe the phrasing or the pace on the upgrades is confusing. The Mine * Faster upgrades reduce the tick time to harvest minerals, while the Mine * Harder make it that more minerals are harvested per tick. I think the best solution for that would be to add this information at the Mines panel, instead of the Info panel in the Labs. I also think that adding the percentage boost stacking would be great :) Noted down here for the 1.1.
The cheeky idea is, at least for now, intentional. I see it a bit like the Sims or Tycoon games that you can let it there for a while to collect resources. I planned on having timed events to keep you there, like a stronger asteroid shower or something like that, but it is still in the To Do List.
I also could not implement an "End" game movie as I wanted. I also thought about either the full destruction or at least some sort of cutscene of Titan leaving with the others. That will have to wait for the 1.1 too.
Also, when the Shields are depleted, the Mines stop mining, but the base is not destroyed (yet). But this is a good point to reconsider. I initially did not want the game to have a sort of permanent game over, because it could be too frustrating (you spend so much to upgrade and then lose everything (?) ). But there might be other good/better alternatives.
Kind regards and again thank you so much for all the feedback.
Looked cool! Performance in webgl was unfortunately not so good for me!

Thanks for the review on my game, MoonGun :) For the first levels, the asteroids cannot harm the base (it is explained in the Intro). I'll later make another version with a smaller screen, it might help with the FPS. And I will also add a windows/mac build standalone also. Kind regards.
