I went for the moonshot thinking approach. For my game it was the player completing the seemingly impossible Glass Dungeon having never gone on an adventure before.

As pointed out the Linux version seems to be an OSX file.

Just responding to all of these comments - I solved the issue! It's not an actual OSX file - the name is just the same because it's a Java file (aka cross-platform for Windows, Mac, Linux). Just download the latest version of Java and it will run.

(The 'exe' seems to just be a packaged .jar file)

If you have a windows pc I Spent a few hours fixing it and reuploaded it with the installation in by default. You can just download and play

I was not able to get this to run in Windows 10. Downloaded your windows zip and extracted the .exe but when I run it nothing happens. Let me know if there is an issue you're able to fix because I'd love to try this... screenshots look awesome.

You could download the mac version and follow those instructions because it is the same file. Thank you sm for the nice feedback

I had the same problem. Copy-pasting what I wrote to another commenter:

I was also having trouble running it, until I downloaded Java. The game was made in Java, so all of the versions will end up being identical and cross-platform.

Downloaded the Linux version, but it seems to be the OSX version after I unzip it. It will start but cannot seem to get past the screen with GAME OFF 2020.

Ill give it a try on Windows when I next get on.

I have Java installed. Maybe a version issue?

openjdk 14.0.2 2020-07-14
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 14.0.2+12)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 14.0.2+12, mixed mode)

Just what I already had installed.

Got on my other machine. Its good. My one negative comment is how fast the character moved for me. Not sure if that was intended. The music was great, the art was great. Was a ton of fun. Good job.

Developer

The speed was somewhat intended so players would always be able to beat the game without having to fight any enemies. A makeshift difficulty option. Thanks so much for the praise on art and music and I'm so happy you got around to playing it!

Oh my god. Definitely feel like the game should have been on steam or something. Awesome artwork and the music was actually great. I've seen a lot of the submissions lack in the soundtrack department but I actually jammed out while playing this game. Super great job!

Ty yea I felt rly happy about the 8 songs bc so many jams forget sounds entirely sometimes it wild. Ty sm man the support means a lot.
