This was a fun and very cute platformer! The audio was very soothing, and the platforming had a relaxing level of difficulty. There were some sizing issues with the UI, but everything else was great!

Like the style but didn't get past the saws.

Cool game! I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and the simple mechanics. I made it through the end, but I really struggled with the first saw encounter.

It would be great to add some sound effects or feedback when getting hit.

Good job!

Very nice and soothing graphics. Controlling the ghost while jumping was hard for me, so I wasn't able to get past the running blades level. With little fixes, it can be a very good game. Overall, Good work!!

Nice graphics, but I suggest to use on the main menu the canvas with Scale with Screen Size selected (I don't saw all the UI). I like the idea and the game but I think that controls are too fast, in contrast with jump so it's really difficult to calibrate right and left movement, congrats!

The graphics were really nice and minimalistic. I really like how the saw blades looked. My only complaint is that I wish the game had a little more audio, like maybe a jump noise or maybe a saw noise if I got sliced up. How does a ghost get sliced by saws any way? XD Fun Game , good job on your first game!

This game doesn't load for me (in Chrome on MacOS).  If using Unity, you might want to double check the WebGL compression format.  I found that Brotli (the default) doesn't work on the itch.io server, but gzip does.

Does it run in the browser? Can't get past a black screen using latest Chrome build.

Actually got it to work with enough fiddling around. First of all the name caused some issues. And after that:

After which the app started up just fine. Did not contain windows version by the way even though you have it marked as such. And yeah, you are missing some stuff from the web build too.

The game itself was quite fine. The difficulty was completely lopsided, the first inside section was the most difficult (and only difficult part). After that everything was a breeze. The spike hitboxes felt very unfair. Probably the same goes for the saws. Having the actual colliders of such items be much smaller than the actual visible item often makes it feel much better and more fair even though it would be kinda obviously favouring the player. That way there is never a bad feeling left to player about them not actually hitting the 1HKO on close calls.

The look was quite clean and nice, the parallax effect in the end there was somehow off. It was kinda nauseating looking but dunno why really. Did it move the wrong way or something? Adding in some sound effects would have given a lot.

Wall jumping didn't feel too good. Especially jumping off the wall then was awkward. Seems more like a by-product of not too well configured/coded platformer controls. I think you're just adding force on moving and then the friction kicks in near walls and boom you have an annoyingly sticky wall jump.  Kinda easy to fix though. Start off with no friction on the player object. Then on contact with a wall and if still holding that direction, punch in some friction. Slowly reduce the friction so the wall hang will not grip forever and will slowly start to slip and drop. Then if jumping from such position, clear the friction again and direct the jump towards up and away from the wall. I think that would result in more of a classic wall jump with a better feel and more control.

Anyways, good job on your first game and jam entry!  👍 Hope you can get the web build issue ironed out so more people can actually play it.

Sounds interesting !

I am sad, we can't play this yet. Looks cool though. Good luck with fixing it!
