oh god this game bring me back so many good memories
i really loved it, and i'm happy to say all the neos are gone! MUAHAHHA

Developer

Congrats on removing the neos! I'm glad it brought back good memories.

GTA is cool => your game is cool

Developer

Lol, thanks!

Nice one. Liked the theme interpretation and the classic gta style! Sound effects for driving, shooting and people dying wouldve been a nice touch!

Developer

Yeah we were running short on time so we favoured music over sound effects :). Glad you liked it.

I Loved GTA2 and this reminds me so much of that.

Good job

Developer

Glad it brought back some good memories ;)

Fun game! Was just thinking of how much it reminded me of old top down GTA then got the "wasted" text across the screen haha. Great work!

Developer

Thank you Derek!

Good game!

At first I though it was unfair and slow, but once you understand the logic behind the game, it gets very fun!

It only needs a polish in graphics and audio.

Developer

Thank your honest feedback and for taking the time to understand our game as there is no tutorial!

What a great little game very much in the vein of the first GTA. Brilliant work!

I could not find all the Neos in time so it would’ve been nice to be able to fix some of the matrix glitches in order to get more time, maybe by moving over them or something, but I guess that’s on me for being old and slow! :)

Kept wondering if I should find a phone booth, both because Matrix, and GTA1…

Developer

Thank you Becky Rose, glad you enjoyed it! Tweaking the difficulty of this game has been hard, you won't be the only one not finishing it ;)

The phone booth is a great idea. One of my friend suggested it but it was so late in the jam...

Thank you for your review HangingSpiders. We tried that mechanic you described but it felt too punishing so we decided to leave it as a visual cue.

Running people over wasn’t this much fun since GTA2 :D Loved the game and the style.

Great work!

Developer

We had so much fun implementing this. It never gets old ;) Thanks!

I love it! The game was super fun to play. I like how you used the same topic as me, but did it from a different character's perspective. I also really liked the graphics and audio. Good job!

Developer

Thank you for your kind words!

Nice retro graphics and audio and good gameplay. Runs great on a Chromebook. Good job!

Developer

Gald you had a good game :) thanks for the feedback!

Like other said, awesome effort to allow the user to influence the environment (destroy building and vehicles). Loved the game concept!

Developer

Thanks Sebastien! Glad you enjoyed it.

Loved this! I especially enjoyed the influence you have on your environment - shooting everything, riding cars around to find the bugs. It took me a little while to get used to the controls and shoot before I get shot. I ended up mainly shooting bits of buildings to create a bit of a shield that I could hide behind while I shoot the bugs. Actually I didn't try running them over... Might go back and try that.  Fun game! Graphics and music were great too! Nice work.

Developer

Thank you sage7. Yes you can run over the neos with a car, it makes the game a LOT easier :) Huge congrats if you managed to finish the game without that!

Nice work.  The music is great!  Gameplay felt really smooth, and I liked how the Neo's didn't come after you as soon as they appeared on screen.  Well done.

Developer

Hey JohnFu11er, glad you liked it!

Got a real GTA 2 vibe from that game! I somehow thought that the blue people where the bugs and I had to kill them all 😅 but once I got it the game became beatable.

Well done!

Developer(+1)

The blue guys respawn after a while so you'd have to be very quick to kill em' all ;) Thanks for the review!

The destruction is fun and the graphics look great, reminding me of 2D GTA, and also being a bit unique. I loved driving the sports car, though plough a car into the Neos was just about the only way I can win it. Spawn protection or ensuring no Neos are there would be helpful too. A few times I got wasted and spawned back at the hospital only to get immediately wasted again before I could react.
Really good fun all round, nice job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your review.  Good idea on the respawn protection, I wish I had it during the jam :)

Submitted(+2)

Hooking game! I had to try several times. I couldn't handle driving the car ^^
Really nice job!

Developer

Thanks a lot for trying our game!! The car control can be definitely a challenge at first, but it's really rewarding. Feel free to try different cars too !

I love how much effort is taken to make sure the world is destructible. Love the glitch effects.

Developer

Thanks for trying our game! We hope you had fun destroying everything :)
