I enjoyed your game, thanks! I'm a big fan of turn based games like these. Visually very polished (especially the menu screen) and the sound was well matched to the game. I enjoyed the variety of different approaches and forms your worms and the elements could take and the depth of strategy. The game itself is unique and innovative. I would suggest giving some visual feedback when some moves are not possible (eg when the attack target is too far away) (we went for changing the cursor icons in our game but I'm sure there are other ways). Congratulations on making such a complex and innovative game in 1 month!
Especially if you like short (<10 min), turn-based games, voice-over, mythology, perks or hexagons!
Play Mythic Battles and pop your link below for a rate/review swap. Either my team mate (mhm32167) or I will be rating/reviewing :)
Let us know if you'd like thoughts on anything specific about your game too.
Thanks for sharing - I've just rated and commented. Found it super addictive. Clever idea to suggest the two player option too. I need to find a friend and come back to it!
Feel free to try our game, Mythic Battles: https://sage7.itch.io/mythic-battles-judgement-of-gods. :)
This is very addictive! I found it very challenging to think about poor Guido and my snake at the same time but I did improve with practice (it's addictive enough to want to keep trying :). I thought the music and sound effects were well matched to the game. I like that you could lose in different ways - makes it suitably challenging (eg get eaten, hit a wall etc). I would suggest making it slightly easier to start with. I will try to find a second player and come back to it! Nice work!
I got some portal vibes with this game (I haven't played superliminal)! Love the puzzles in room concept. The scaling was fairly easy to get the hang of after 1 or 2 tries and I thought your theme interpretation is very clever. I loved the creepy atmosphere and the visuals and some additional audio could enhance this. Great game, nice work!
Wow. The sense of humour drew me in from the start. There's so much to enjoy in this game - great level design, interesting puzzles from the start, distinct characters, audio and sound effects is fantastic, the different environments were really well integrated into the whole game. Really enjoyed this, nice work!
Had a lot of fun playing your game. With the scale theme, this is a great idea for a topic. Scaling down scope is hard!
In previous jams, I tend to make the mistake of jamming as many features as possible... at the expense of polish! Trying to change that these days!
Our team of two made Mythic Battles, a turn-based based battle game based on Mesopotamian mythology and inspired by games like HOMM3.
Features that made it: Voiced story, god-given boons, spells, 3 levels, hex-based battle grid, enemy AI
I would love to finish the game so here are some future features hopefully: 8 more levels to finish the story, elements on the map to add more strategy to battles, more spells and boons to unlock, more animations (eg hurt, casting etc).
Hello fellow Godot dev! Very fun puzzle game and good use of scaling - the scale gun is a great idea! My only constructive feedback was going to be about the jump but I see others have already noted this (could variable jump or double jumps be a solution?) :). I thought the game looked very polished with a good variety of puzzles and obstacles. The hints are nicely paced. I personally liked the control scheme. Great level/puzzle design. Well done!
I enjoyed this! I thought the puzzles were really well designed and controls were pretty intuitive. I was a bit too trigger happy with my gun and kept destroying my box but its good that the level restarts very easily. Very clean design too. I think a double jump/variable jump would have helped me with some of the platforms. Very innovative and great implementation of the theme. Nice work!
I've just rated and commented on your game. Very nice work! Would love some rating/feedback on ours :)

Thanks!
Beautiful game - love the art. The music went well with the game too. I thought the frequency of checkpoints was perfect and it was well balanced - challenging enough. The additional mechanics were interesting and I enjoyed the variety of enemies abilities. My only other thought was about combat indicators but I see others have made this comment :). Overall, I really enjoyed this game and found myself playing for a while so well done!
This game was so much fun. One of those games I could play for a long time. I really like the hints and tips and tutorial elements as I found I could just enjoy the game without trying to remember any unusual controls. Lots of great attention to detail with the art and environment too. I had trouble maximising the game screen but I think it might just be my browser issue perhaps (Firefox). Oh and I thought the interpretation and integration of the theme into game play was v clever. Well done!
Thanks so much for playing! Yes it was all original - the 2d sprites are based on 3d models. I modelled and painted the characters in Blender first, then animated it with Mixamo, then, in Blender, rendered the animations in 6 directions to make the 2d animations. I had originally planned to make enough characters for 10 levels but I only had time for 3 levels. It was still quite a lot of work though! We are a team of 2 - I did the art, audio, and story and my team mate did the programming. Thanks for your feedback! :)
Hi there! Good idea - thanks! I'm checking out yours now. :)

Woohoo, I made the leaderboard! Really fun. Played a few times. It took me a second to figure out I had to hold down fire for it to shoot. Loved the audio and graphics too. Thanks! Oh one thing - might be worth adding a little notification about scoring high enough to make the leaderboard (unless I missed it). Nice work!
I loved this game. The painting style is stunning and the character anims were really well done. Really felt magical (the audio added to the magical atmosphere too). I did like the contrast between the room art and the painting as it gives off a "step into a painting" feeling. Clever theme interpretation too.
