The art style has a vibe that I like. I found the game funny and nice overall. For me, the binding of the jump button on "ALT" key was problematic, because it kept activating things in my computer, for example Geforce Now (Why do I have this). I still enjoyed my time spent playing the game !
I see that it was your first time in Godot, it's nice to know and I'm impressed by the result knowing that.
GG and keep on making games !
Thank you so much for the kind words! I did not think about ALT being binded like that! I actually chose to have it that way because the gameplay is reminiscent of a game I used to play years ago, haha (🍄). I'll definitely think twice about doing the same for future games.
I enjoyed the simple graphics but I found it hard to interact with the bees without taking damage. Tried jumping over them but the jump was not high enough.
I got to the part with the orange bees which came down and then stopped moving all of a sudden. I shot them all out of the air but I was unsure how to progress further. Both portals did not seem to work and my jump was not high enough to reach any of the platforms.
Still curious to why the lake is yellow though, are the bees to blame or is it the nastier option I first thought of ;P
Thanks for the feedback! You have a dash that can help you reach far away platforms! I should have made a level where it was necessary to be used and prompted a tooltip.
As for the lake's color... 😳 that one fish kid in the town did say it tasted yummy haha.
Fantastic art style the controls feel fantastic the only problem is i think the multi attack shooting was kind of strange. And i felt like i didn't have enough control over my shots as they homed. Other than that great game.
The way I had the homing work was that I actually raycasted to check for any enemies in a set field of view. Unfortunately didn't have enough time to polish it up though.
Thanks so much for the feedback!
Improve Graphics, for future games, see my game
Thanks for the feedback! I definitely should have invested more time on some animations, but spent too much time on programming haha.
Art looks great but I am unable to make it past the intro level. Would love to get to the bees!
Sorry about that, I made it more obvious how to progress through each level by explaining the controls more in the game details.
The controls are definitely not intuitive which is on me 😅
