I guess I don't get it?
I'm pressing Z and A/D a bunch but nothing seems to be happening?
Hard to rate this game when nothing sems to make sens?

Both fun and frustrating at the same time.
After a while I was mostly ignoring the ads on the left side of the screen and just playing on the right side. This worked fairly well. The only downside is that viruses can spawn directly on your folder, givign you no chance to kill or dodge them. If that happens enough times then you just simply lose.
I got till the Virus Boss who disappeared after I clicked it a few times. The game still went on so it wasn't the end and shortly after that the last 2 viruses spawned directly on my folder and I died.
Great job on the game !
Short but oh so sweet ! The puzzle design in this one is really well done. Tutorial and unlocking new capabilities was also very nice, more games should take this as an example ! Also maximum points for theme !
There were a few rough patches where the game froze for a split second (first time destroying a box for example).
Besides that the only critisism I have is that it's very hard to know where the projctile will bounce to when colliding with a magnet block.
Great job altogether !
It's a start of a fun platformer with some rough edges ;P
There is at least one platform that does not have collision and when I finally got to the top and could see some large enemy I wasn't able to jump up to it (something was blocking me).
The art looks great and besides the rough edges the game plays smoothly.
Great job !
(Screenshot of where I got stuck)
It's hard to play this well I think. Especially with the flower shape sizes you have no choice but to overlap and I would need a galaxy brain to calculate when the planets would collide at a certain point.
Still it was fun to see the planets swirling about and trying to get at least as many points as last time.
Sounds and a personal highscore to chase would add a lot to this game !
Game reminds me of QWOP and Mount your Friends.
Had the same issue at other players, not all keyboards can register all keypresses at the same time. I had to try and see what keys could be registered at the same time.
Did manage to beat the first level though ! (Which remimds me: You might want to do your game in English as I had no idea what the buttons after level 1 were saying ;P)
Great job !
Why is this so hard !!! The rules are so simple, the game is telling me there are 3 sets in these 12 cards and I tell you I am STRUGGLING ;D
My brain must be wired wrong for this game because I feel just so dumb trying to find the set or sets that are there.
Didn;t stop me from trying my hardest and getting on the leaderboard with 90. Chased the mythical 100 but it didn;t happen :)
Great job !
PS: Pausing the game should invalidate the score for the leaderboard because it's very easy to take a screenshot, pause, find the set, rinse and repeat for an insanely high score ;P
Thanks for the review !
You are right that the modifiers don't impact the game as much. We wanted to scales does up the further you got but ran out of time to implement this.
Your other idea of affecting the items inside the bag was on the list, but so low we kinda already knew it wouldn;t be in the jam game.
However, we are currently working on a sequel / actual release of the game in which there will be bags affecting items inside ;D !
A fun take on the classic match-3 genre.
Getting to move the scales more than one place does make it more interesting than a normal match-3 game.
I did break the game (and I don;t know how). I picked up a scale and was considering moving it. I think I dropped it and tried to pick it up quickly again, maybe before the animation was finished? I ended up with a nice hole in my grid, but the game still worked correctly, it was still match-3-ing with whatever scales was in that spot, I just had no idea what it was ;P
Great job !
This is a quite well made tile laying game !
To be honest, this could even work as a physical boardgame I think.
The scaling mechanic is the hardest to grasp as it was not clear that you will just eat enemies that you engulf after scaling up. It's also not clear what you will scale into, do you get an upgrade? Does your dragon heal?
After figuring that out the game plays very smoothly.
I'm not sure tying the amount of energy to the number of tiles you occupy is a good design. Once you are losing there is no way to fight back and you are just playing cards until the game over screen without a chance.
I do like the fight for occupying more tiles than your opponent so you could give some bonus for that, but the mana should maybe just work like in Hearthstone where you get +1 every turn. Maybe a bit slower in this game since all cards are so cheap.
Overall great job !!
The game is not really my style as there is not much too it, but I could see this work as a mobile game.
I do love the artwork, all the cats give off an incredible cutesy vibe. Also the meowing sounds made my cat look at the screen weirdly ;P
Having a cat-ologue and settings to unlock everything from the start is polish I love to see.
Great job and congrats to the entire team !
Should the Web build be working?
I was curious what would happen if I tried to continue as the first thing and now it keeps saying "No Backup Data found" even if I try to start the game normally.
I even tried opening the site in a different browser and in an incognito tab, but it still says the same thing.
Did I break it or is everyone reviewing the downloadable version ;D
Interesting prototype. The movement was not clear from the start, I thought I was meant to flap my wings in order to move so going up was no problem (flapping left and right repeatedly). But moving from side to side was quite impossible.
Luckily I stumbled upon holding down the key, which teached me that I don't have to flap.
After that it played smoothly. It's still a tricky control scheme but that is part of the game and way better than the flapping I was trying to do ;P
Great job !
Lovely rhythm game. It took me some time to realize that I didn't have to act on every beat, just had to time my actions to the beat. After that it was smooth sailing to the finish line.
I had the same issue as the poster below, where I managed to get up high on platforms but wasn't able to make the jump at the top. After respawning the platforms were gone, but there was a path down below that I could take instead (maybe this was even the intended path?)
As for improvements the track could be made more interesting while keeping the same beat, but then you do need a musician on your team ;P
Great job and Congrats to the whole team !
Thanks for the review !
Difficulty is subjective of course. The balancing in this game is also not the best so the game can feel easy or difficult depending on what weapons you choose as they sure aren't equal ;P
We'll keep that in mind while working on the sequel / actual release, we already have some ideas to keep the game challenging for players of all skill levels without making the game too difficult.
I am a sucker for highscore games even ones as silly as this one ;D
Love the time pressure of wanting to scale the fish or the circles as fast as possible and then the building scaling and box scaling are a completely different feel. With the buildings I needed to take more time to make sure I did not get shot and the boxes... they are SO "light"they move about all the place and keep knocking off stuff unless you are very careful.
The scale that needed 376 of weight eventually cost me almost half my remaining time, but luckily it was enough for first place ;D
Great job !
Very well on theme.
At first I thought it was just like Mastermind where any note could be in any order at any position. After finishing the first puzzle and seeing the name of the scale I saw the pattern. That made the puzzle afterwards way too easy since as soon as you have one note in place the others are easily deducable.
My method was as follows (see screenshot):
Guess all A's on the first try, giving me a starting point.
Then guessing ABCDEFG with A in the right spot we got in step 1.
After that we just need to fill in the missing notes with the sharp/half(?) notes.
Unless there is a scale that does not contain A I think you can get the correct solution every time in just 3 steps :)
One of the better games in the theme department for sure !
This game makes no sense, and nonetheless it makes so little sense in its' stupidity that it all wraps around and comes together. I don't know why I get money for downloading stuff, I don't know why the police are already after me before I even done anything... All I know is: I have the good stuff !!
Great job ;P
The game is fun and nicely on theme. Graphics are good looking (feeling GTA 1-like) and the music accompanies this well.
I did break your game in multiple ways though ;P
- If you spam the spacebar on the countdown the game gets stuck after fading out
- Somehow I broke the game and it was randomly not showing road or grass anymore (screenshot #1)
- During the scaling, the car is invincible. Using this I managed to very easily get to the end by just being small all the time and double tapping space whenever an obstacle came up. (screenshot #2)
Besides all that the game was actually one of the more fun ones I played this jam (and you are game #80 I'm rating ;P)
Congrats to the whole team !
Fun little endless platformer game.
The controls are a bit too speedy I think, it was very hard to position the jumper at the edge of a platform, but maybe that is the challenge since it otherwise gets quite easy.
With slower controls I would ramp up the scroll speed to add an extra challenge. It could even be 2 game modes, fast scrolling but a lot of control over your jumper and the mode you have right now.
I managed to survive 1m30 tops, no idea if that's good but I died because of the speedy controls, fell right off the platform when trying to reach the edge :D ;D
Great job !
The game is quite fun once you understand how it works. The quote "dodge your stuff" was not enough to tell me that the more I throw away the more obstacles I get (akthough I now get it in hindsight). I was about to give a quite harsh rating because the game was just impossible, but that was because I was spamming the space bar, thinking I needed to lose as much as quickly as I could.
After understanding the game it was quite fun to chase your own best score (leaderboards would be a good addition, or at least showing your personal best). I got a nice rhythm going with throwing away 2 items at a time, dealing with the obstacles and throwing again while landing. Got me all the way to 62.
Having voice acting in the game almost always means 5 stars for audio just because I am always impressed by it ;P And since I was starting so badly, I really heard you being "Oh no I'm late" a lot of the times ;D
Congrats to thoe whole team !
Goodlooking start of a CCG game
I don't think the type of minion you play has any effect on the game? At least it was not clear to me, it looks like they are all just 1/4s without abilities. I guess that part is not yet finished too?
Couple of remarks on making the game more fluent:
- Once you click on a card there is no way to undo playing the card. You can drag it around but once you let go of the mouse button the card will be played no matter what. I would expect to be able to place the card back in my hand if I don't want to cast it yet.
- Show cards on hover instead on right mouse click. There is always just one card to display and having to hold down right mousebutton is not necessary
- Show more of the cards in hand. Partly why I was casting spells I didn't want to cast was that I was selecting cards to see what they did. If more of the card was visible in hand this would be less needed
- Show switching between your and the enemies turn. It's instant now but that also means you have no idea when it is your turn again.
- Some background music would add a lot to the atmosphere
The start is there so keep up to good work!
Easy to play idle/clicker style game.
The payments ramp up way too fast. 1k research was doable, but the next step is 1M research.
Also I'm not sure if it's intentional but after doing the 1k research upgrade I lost my mushroom tiles, causing me to lose 3 mushrooms per tick. I hope that's a bug because it really undermines the progress even further.
Long story short: It has potential but needs a lot of balancing.
Simple yet addictive game. I just had to keep playing until I had the high score !
I did mute the sound as the music is so repetitive that I think the game would be better without music at all ;P I also never used the gas form on purpose (I thought there were only 2 forms while playing to be honest). Actually thought it was a bug or that it happened when a box fell on top of me when I got even smaller than fluid. Only figured out there was a gas form when reading the comments here :D
Great job overall !
Lovely looking vegetables and well on theme with a ladder as a weapon and a tool that can scale in length.
I'm not sure if there is more to the game than the original level with 3 platform heights?
Without healing that is as high as I got. There also doesn't appear to be any way of restarting when you are dead? Also the game could use some audio as a finishing touch.
Swinging the ladder was a lot of fun so great job !
Nice little game where you can snack upon some humans to fill your dino belly.
Some audio would add a lot to the game: chomping sounds when you eat, humans screaming and there doesn't seem to be much of a challenge as the tanks don't shoot or damage your dino in any way so a health system and shooting tanks would also add a lot.
I'm not even certain why I got a game over, I guess I got big enough?
The dino was almost filling the entire viewport so I guess that's fair !
Happy chomping ! ;D
This game is awesome and hands down the best tutorial built into a game I have seen this jam (and you are gam #71 I'm rating ;P) The controls were very fluid and intuitive and the puzzles were well designed.
Kudos for having voice acting in a jam game, and not only that but the voice over was actually funny (Saw that coming!).
Overall great game and I don;t even know what I would change to improve it !!
The hopping snail customer had me laughing, it just looked so silly.
In regards to the game I think there is a lot of polish missing. Dropping the weight is super random as the customer can turn around and catch the player while the drop is in mid air, nothing you can do about it. It also doesn't punish you besides costing time. I would make it optional and would give more of an idea how distracted the customer is. That way you can choose not to drop it with customers who are more attentive. It could be like a push-your-luck system. Getting caught could then mean you get deducted on what the customer pays instead of them running off and you just start again with a fresh customer.
Finding out the weight is also very hard in the short timeframe and the very slowly reacting scale. Also it seems there is a bug with the shop. When I finally managed to swindle a customer and made 8 coins I went to check out the shop but it said I had 0 coins.
There is potential here, but in this form it's very rough so keep at it ! :)
