I used Phaser as well. Impressed that you recorded your own sounds — nice work! I agree with another commenter that music would be nice. I also didn't realize at first that I was getting damaged... maybe the animation and sound could be a little more obvious.

This is a cute little platformer. The movement speed and jump feel good. I would recommend making a diamond shaped collision shape for the character as it would make it easier to jump up one block wide openings. Good submission!

That's a good idea! Phaser doesn't have a diamond option out of the box, but maybe a circle would work. I'll try it :)

Loved the game but i got stuck underground and couldnt go out

Were you playing on mobile? And was it at the part where you have to climb up the vertical ladder bit?

on pc nah it was a lot of coins i followed them then i got stuck

Developer(+1)

Oic. If you were following coins, there was a way to get out. (The E cheat can help you find it ;)

Nice game! I wish there was some hint on how to use the cheatcodes - I only discovered that by accident while trying to be cheeky and poking the web game with browser tricks (because I thought the cheatcodes bugged out and didn't work).

The sound design was okay. Wish there was some background music, the game was very quiet. The art was fairly good (I dig the minimalist aesthetic), though the colors felt a bit harsh. Character walk animation felt too slow with relation to how fast they were moving.

Not sure how I felt about the underground tunnels, they were sometimes long and winding with nothing exciting going on (character speed hack could've helped?), but it was surprising how much hidden stuff there was on the surface.

Good work!

Thanks so much! I did add a hint about how to use the cheat codes in itch page text, but maybe I should add something in game too. I like the way you found it though - you had the secret knowledge!

I totally agree about the sound and tunnels. I had lots more plans for them, but I ran out of time. I am wondering if I should remove the down arrow, to keep players on the surface longer.

Ha, don't know about that. First thing I did when I spawned in is jump into the hole in order to check for a secret :)

seems like lots of secrets? A decent platformer. I found the precise narrow pixel positioning to get round corners a bit annoying, and the huge number of coins with no obvious goal a bit of a letdown, gave up after a while. personally dont like the colors but appreciate that was the wildcard challenge,

Thanks for the feedback! The goal is to find all the cheat codes then figure out the best path to collect the most coins in the shortest amount of time. I intended to have a leaderboard, but ran out of time to implement it. Were you playing with keyboard or touchscreen?
