I love puzzle games but the moving of the obelisk seemed a bit tricky - I had no idea where to move them or what I was trying to achieve there so in the game itself it might be a good idea to add some subtle indications to the player on where they need to go, unless I totally missed it. I think a bit more sign-posting would be great. Even though I couldnt do it, I did find the hieroglyphics and the room where the key is located but I didn't find any rosetta stone so I think I'm just missing this one key thing in order to complete the game. So this game is obviously focussed on mechanics and I appreciate it for that because there are a couple of good mechanics in the game like the wall jumping, and clearing the obelisk and decryption puzzles. I think if you added a basically animated character and some background music and a couple of sound effects it would really take this game to another level. I hope you keep working on it or incorporate it into a larger project because I love the foundation and the setting for it. Good job.

Edit: Seeing as how this is a Unity game I thought I would check your code to see if I could see how the obelisk puzzle was setup lol, however the repo is not there! Check it out when you get the time.

Hi Miniature Giants. Firstly, thank you so much for reviewing my game and I really appreciate the time you took to write this review. I'm so glad you enjoyed the aesthetics :D. It's a shame with the time constraints though, because I was planning on adding a lot more puzzles that could have made the game a bit more enjoyable to solve, especially the obesliks. Now that I have time, I'll definitely add some more things (especially the player's sprite lol).

As for the Github repo. Could you check again, it should work now :)

I really like the setting, the scroll unroll animation, the sun/shadows and the wall jumping! I might be missing something though, because I've tried everything with the obelisks and I still can't find the Rosetta Stone :P Also the obelisk movement label says "obeslik" haha. Well done!

Hi Julian, thanks so much for reviewing my game. I will admit it's a bit cryptic. Initially you would need to look around for clues that can help you sort the "Obeslik" (typo hahah) in the correct order. I'll give you a hint, you should shine it at the entrance in a way that makes the most sense :p. Thanks again!

Honnestly, for a first game you got quite a few mechanics working well! From the movement, text messages, the cool enigma with the obelisks... The double-jump was a bit tricky but the wall jump were very reactive.

Keep going, this is a good start :)

Thank you Chroute for your review! I do think the double jump is quite hard to get the hang off at first. I appreciate your time to review my game :)
