After playing through all the games in the jam, I've made a post on some of my favorites and included your game! Check it out here.

Thanks!

Played this on stream. Check out the vod here for my thoughts. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1007655980?t=00h21m03s

Thanks for playing, I'm glad you liked the Mirror mechanic!

As you mentioned, right now it's pretty barebone but I'm working on some updates right now, including graphics and audio.

I had real-time input at first but wanted to try something different and the idea was to have some directional UI at each crossroad and some minor indications that you might walk into a dead end or not.

Hm, for some reason turning left was not possible for me. It took me a while to get my mouse trapped, so that the key presses got recognised.

But once I managed to snuck after the follower, I was safe :-D

How was I suppose to know which way my home was? I only see a green area (the starting point?) that differed from the rest. Sorry, I lost my map :-(

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Yeah, the green area is the starting point, there's a purple area that's the "end".
The idea I had was to show some UI at each crossroad and to have more paths than what got into the submission.

Wierd with the input problems, I'll look into it as I'm making the updates!

I had that feeling of being scared that some shape is following me - murky atmosphere, some fog would add to it much ;) General idea with mirror for such escaping game is very cool, yet I would change turn-based steering with real time FPS like walking - that would be a great horror! ;)

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Yeah, I actually had real-time input at first but I wanted to try something different.
Unfortunetaly I didn't had the time to put everything together that I had in mind, but I'm making updates now!

This concept reminded me SCP games :)

Thank you!

I'm really intrigued by what you had in store for the mirror! Am I confronting a Medusa or basilisk? Am I keeping track on something pursuing me?

Developer

Thanks!
The idea was that you're being followed by some unknown presence as you're trying to make your way home and that you had to use a mirror to be able to keep track of it. And the Stalker would react to the mirror in a different way than it does now.

I had an idea of how I wanted the Stalker to look, it was gonna have a black robe and a mask (as it was hiding its true self), I looked at the Kaonashi (or No-Face) from Spirited Away as inspiration.
