Nice platformer. The “start wave” button allows to clean up before the next wave, cool idea. You should fix those issues the other commenters mentioned, then this will be even more fun to play.

amazing music and models, love the use of particles here. I did find it hard to understand why the enemies stopped coming till i saw the start wave button, hope to see your future projects , Great work

Great submission. The graphics and the music fit wonderfully. Was mentioned by previous comments but the direction of the player was a bit off sometimes and didnt always match with the shooting. Aside from that it was a great game!

A cool game, it was fun to play. Respect you for developing that alone in 10 days. The character always looks in the wrong direction and sometimes he shoots in the wrong direction.

Played and rated.

Pros:

  • Audio sounds fluid and is not distracting.
  • Overall visual aspect of the game is nice looking, and we distinguish easily different types of enemies.

Cons:

I didn't have a compelling gameplay in my experience, I felt a lack of control over the character and didn't understand well how the energy system work

  • I didn't feel the connection with the theme
  • Shooting where the character looks, can't decide separately
  • Didn't understand and like the energy system, I was lacking it all the time

Would appreciate if you test and rate our game as well: https://hadilepanda.itch.io/rise-of-necromancy

The concept of gameplay is fun. the aesthetics is all over the place, there is no harmony in this aspect. The music is just there, the sound is good. The mechanics are good in the concept but it need bug fixing and working about shooting direction as it is now I can't go through higher waves without trying to play perfect and that get the "fun" away. Well for the shooting direction I mean as it is now it forcing me to shoot at the direction of movement key which is quite old school at this point, I wish it is follow the cursor direction instead. Story is forgetable and I don't get about the theme here, like what's the point anyway?

Developer

You are right, the asthetics could be better,  i invested more Time into different things, since all assets has to be either self made or under CC0 License.  But i think im also a poor Level Designer :p

The problem is that the direction the p layer Looks is "bugged"  and doesn't work as intented  at the moment,  thanks for your feedback about the idea with the cursor i was curious about that already and i wanna try that instead.

The Theme? mhh,  isn't it obvious? you start from the beginning spot when you die? Jokes beside,  i was concentrated in this Project mostly around my Coding Style. The entire Game as example not uses a Single Else Statement, thats why the Title is Else Died.

Thanks for your Feedback and Playing it
