This game was great fun, me and my fiancée had lots of fun playing this one, if you added more maps and game modes it would make a great party game!

Impressive that you made a multiplayer game for such a short amount of time. The camera worked pretty well for showing both players. Definitely a better solution than split-screen. Volume setting  was affected by the control inputs so you can't move either player without changing the game volume.  Cool mechanics!

Thanks for the awesome review! :) I'm glad you liked it.

Good catch! Yea it's a bug that I'd need to fix.. after clicking on the volume slider if you don't click somewhere else on the screen it will move with the A and D keys (which also moves the character). Thanks for pointing that out.

I also couldn't really play as I didn't have another player, but from what I could see, it looked like it would be very fun and I liked the upbeat music very much.. I will try to get someone to play with and give it a whirl!  Please rate our game if you would like :)  https://itch.io/jam/gamedevtv-jam-2022/rate/1554224#post-5960926

Nice game. I liked having the controls on screen before the game begins. However, I did solo play it with a keyboard and a gamepad, as I don't have another person currently to play it with.

With some more obstacles and different levels, it would be fun to chase each other around.

I think I ran into a couple of bugs though, it seems one of the balls knocked me back when it was close but didn't hit me, and when you're a spirit you cant pass through the blue platforms.

It would be nice to see a timer or a bar, which shows how much time you have left as a sprit.

Overall good job!

Thanks for playing and for the feedback, I’m glad you enjoyed it.

Ah perhaps I need to adjust the hit box of the balls or the player. Thanks for letting me know.

There is a bar that shows how much time you have left as a spirit. It’s at the bottom of the screen. Maybe that’s another bug, oh no… lol

Maybe I just missed the bar while trying to play 2 players by myself haha.

I couldn't really play it, but I checked the (awesome) trailer and gave it a try solo with the keyboard and a controller. I think it is really well done. I actually want to play this game with my daughter (when she grows up a bit and can play games :D).

I love the aesthetics, the usefulness of the menu, the movement (with its inertia), the music. Very well done!

One little detail I saw that was a bit weird is that the shadows of the platforms disappear when the platform is close to the edge of the screen. It's probably Unity's screen space, but I just wanted to mention it.

Thank you so much for trying it and commenting, I really appreciate it :) (Also glad to hear the trailer was “awesome”. I actually played as both players like yourself when I recorded the footage lol)

Haha I hope your daughter can enjoy it (perhaps she’ll win too lol

Oh really? That could be to do with the shadow distance. I increased it already but perhaps it could do with some more tweaking. Thanks for letting me know.

The game was really nicely put together and looks like it could be a lot of fun for a local co-op session - I gave it a quick try solo and I can see how the switch between racing for the power up and then avoiding the ghost would work really well!  The music was also a great fit and really helps to add to the atmosphere :)

Thanks for the comment! I’m glad you liked it.
In hindsight, making a multiplayer game limits how many people can play it, but I really appreciate you trying it out solo, regardless :)

The main menu gave me a great feel off the bat, sadly I could not play it since it requires 2 players.

I liked the overall asthetics and design of the main page, and the music!

Developer(+1)

That’s a shame you couldn’t play it (it technically works with 1 player, so perhaps I shouldn’t have disabled the ability to do so lol)

Thanks for trying it though :) perhaps you could check out the trailer to get an overall impression of its gameplay.
