Nice start on a pixel platformer. While the aesthetics aren't for me, I think they fit the style you are going for well. Would be nice if the bar filled up faster so you aren't retrying so much. Also the controls and jumping could do with some work.
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I plan to improve the controls and jumping to become more efficient and a bit more easier to work with
Whew. Tough game. Maybe I'm just uncoordinated. Still, I enjoyed it. I like the music. The jump mechanic felt real nice too.
A tough game, took me a while to find the exit in the second level! The controls are a very unique, infinite jumps and very powerful garvity, but once I got the timings right I was flying around the levels. Having one hit death felt pretty harsh though, although the super did make up for that. The music and art variety was pretty impressive, and I like the light story elements, a game with lots of character. great job! :)
Thank you very much for the feedback and trying out the game!
Nice little game, but I found it hard to control.
It was a while before I realised that I have infinite double jumps. Originally I was using the friction that game objects initially have to stick the player to the wall and jump up using that :D Constantly pushing up to repeatedly jump higher can be a bit fatiguing, especially at the speed that the game and character moves. Saying that though, I did find myself in level 2 jumping as high as possible to see if any secrets are up at the top, then I found the coin!
The music is nice, and I like how it fits the level, the second level music is a bit darker.
Unfortunately the instruction screen at the start disappears in a couple of seconds, so I never got to read what my trial was about, however, I still found both coins and won the game!
I like how the power up enables to you destroy the spike hazards. And after using it I just kept killing myself to replenish it :D
I did once accidentally activate it when on the instructions page.
Thanks for the feedback, yeah the controls is something that I am still working on as well, since I am more inclined to do a top-down rpg game rather than a platforming (its my first platforming game too). I'll be taking notes of this one, thanks
I like the mechanics, the music, and the enemies were cool. The controls are a bit stiff and the death mechanic is very punishing lol. It would be cool if you can speed up the melee animations, that would improve the gameplay very much. Overall, very fun concept!
Thanks for the Feedback! Will continue to improve it as time goes on
